Blue Sea 50A triple-pole circuit breaker with white raised rocker switch and threaded mounting holes

Blue Sea 50A C-Series AC Triple-Pole Raised Rocker Circuit Breaker

DESCRIPTION

Heavy-Duty Multi-Phase AC Switching and Circuit Protection

The Blue Sea C-Series 50A AC Triple-Pole Raised Rocker Circuit Breaker provides consolidated switching and overcurrent protection in a single, compact housing. Engineered for demanding marine, off-grid, and commercial vehicle electrical systems, this triple-pole unit utilizes three internally coupled poles managed by a single raised rocker actuator. If an overload or short circuit occurs on any single line, all three poles trip simultaneously, isolating the load completely to protect sensitive equipment and operators.

Unlike standard uncoupled breakers that risk leaving live phases active during a fault, this unified C-Series design ensures total disconnection across multi-wire AC circuits. The tactile raised rocker switch offers straightforward manual control, displaying a prominent white indicator when the circuit is in the ON position for immediate visual status confirmation.

Engineered for High-Current Reliability

Built to handle continuous 50A AC loads, this breaker eliminates the need for separate switch and fuse combinations, streamlining distribution panel layouts and reducing potential failure points. The rear of the housing is equipped with heavy-duty threaded terminal studs, allowing for secure, low-resistance ring terminal connections that withstand the constant vibration found in mobile and marine environments.

Installation is simplified via front-facing brass threaded inserts, enabling reliable panel mounting without compromising structural integrity. By integrating high-grade materials with precise internal trip mechanisms, Blue Sea Systems reduces the risk of nuisance tripping while maintaining strict protection standards against electrical fires and thermal damage.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Simultaneous Triple-Pole Action: Three interconnected poles trip together if a fault is detected on any single line, ensuring complete circuit isolation.
  • Combined Switching and Protection: Integrates manual circuit control and 50A AC overcurrent protection into one space-saving C-Series footprint.
  • Clear Visual Indication: The ergonomic raised rocker actuator reveals a distinct white marker when engaged in the ON position.
  • Robust Terminal Studs: Heavy-duty rear threaded studs provide superior clamping force for high-current AC cable terminations.
  • Secure Panel Mounting: Features integrated front-facing brass threaded inserts for durable, vibration-resistant installation in custom switchboards.

Ideal Applications

The triple-pole configuration is specifically tailored for complex AC power architectures where simultaneous disconnection of multiple conductors is required by safety standards or system design:

  • Marine Shore Power and Generators: Ideal for switching and protecting three-phase AC supplies, or simultaneously breaking active, neutral, and secondary lines on large vessels.
  • Off-Grid and Mobile Inverter Systems: Provides reliable main AC main breaker functionality for high-output inverters in specialized commercial vehicles, mobile workshops, and off-grid cabins.
  • Industrial Control Panels: Suits custom machinery and distribution boards requiring dependable 50A multi-pole circuit isolation.
