Blue Sea 50A A-Series Single Pole Restricted Off Flat Rocker Circuit Breaker
Blue Sea 50A A-Series Single Pole Restricted Off Flat Rocker Circuit Breaker
Flush ON Actuator for 24-Hour Circuits with Trip-Free Safety Design

DESCRIPTION
Reliable Overcurrent Protection with Inadvertent Switching Prevention
Engineered for demanding marine, automotive, and off-grid electrical systems, the Blue Sea A-Series 50A Restricted-Off Circuit Breaker combines precise overcurrent protection with manual switching in a single, compact device. Featuring a specialized flat rocker actuator that sits completely flush when in the ON position, this breaker is specifically designed to prevent accidental deactivation of vital equipment.
In mobile and marine environments where movement, vibration, and cramped quarters are common, traditional protruding toggle switches can easily be bumped off by passing crew, shifting gear, or routine cabin activity. The restricted-off profile eliminates this vulnerability, making it the preferred choice for protecting continuous-duty and 24-hour circuits such as bilge pumps, refrigeration, security systems, and battery management interfaces.
Key Features and Safety Mechanisms
- Flush-Mount ON Position: The actuator sits level with the bezel when engaged, significantly reducing the risk of inadvertent shut-off on critical circuits.
- Trip-Free Internal Mechanism: Engineered for uncompromising safety, the internal mechanism cannot be manually held in the ON position during an active fault-current condition, protecting wiring and connected loads from thermal damage.
- High-Visibility Status Indication: A vivid colour actuator face becomes visible exclusively in the OFF position, allowing operators to identify tripped or deactivated circuits at a glance.
- Flexible Mounting Orientation: Marked with standardised international ON (I) and OFF (O) symbols that support clear, intuitive operation in both vertical and horizontal panel layouts.
- Robust Panel Integration: Constructed with durable threaded brass inserts to ensure secure, long-lasting mechanical mounting within custom dashboards and electrical distribution panels.
Why Upgrade to Restricted-Off Circuit Protection?
Standard circuit breakers and basic thermal switches often lack the mechanical refinement needed for mission-critical power distribution. Utilizing a dedicated restricted-off magnetic hydraulic circuit breaker reduces the risk of spoiled provisions from an accidentally bumped fridge switch, or a depleted battery bank from a deactivated solar charge controller circuit. By integrating both switching and circuit protection into one unit, you also simplify your wiring harness, reduce connection points, and save valuable dashboard space.
Ideal Applications
- Marine Vessels: Essential for 24-hour bilge pump feeds, navigation electronics, VHF radios, and vessel monitoring systems.
- Caravans, RVs, and 4WDs: Ideal for 12V and 24V refrigeration circuits, inverter control feeds, and primary auxiliary battery distribution.
- Off-Grid and Industrial Setups: Suitable for telemetry equipment, remote security systems, and continuous monitoring panels where uninterrupted power is required.
Secure Your Critical Electrical Circuits
Upgrade your switchboard or custom power distribution panel with the Blue Sea A-Series 50A Restricted-Off Flat Rocker Circuit Breaker today to ensure dependable, uninterrupted operation for your essential 24-hour electrical loads.
