Blue Sea 32A A-Series Double Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker Black
Blue Sea 32A A-Series Double Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker Black
Magnetic Hydraulic Trip-Free Protection - ABYC, UL 1077 & CE Certified

DESCRIPTION
Integrated Magnetic Hydraulic Circuit Protection and Switching
The Blue Sea A-Series 32A Double-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker combines reliable switching and overcurrent protection into a single, compact panel-mount device. Designed as the standard circuit breaker for Blue Sea Systems electrical panels, this unit utilizes a precision magnetic hydraulic mechanism to safeguard electrical distribution boards in marine, caravan, RV, and off-grid power systems.
By integrating both functions, this breaker eliminates the need for separate switches and fuse holders, streamlining behind-panel wiring and conserving valuable dashboard or enclosure space. The linked toggle handle provides simultaneous control across both poles, with a clearly visible 32A rating printed directly on the actuator face for rapid circuit identification.
Why Choose Magnetic Hydraulic Technology?
Unlike standard thermal circuit breakers that rely on heat-sensitive bimetallic strips, a magnetic hydraulic circuit breaker operates using a current-sensing coil and a damped hydraulic core. This engineering solves a common problem found in lower-tier components: nuisance tripping caused by high ambient temperatures in enclosed engine bays, canopies, or battery compartments.
Because its trip threshold is unaffected by external heat, the breaker responds strictly to actual overcurrent conditions. Furthermore, its trip-free design ensures the internal mechanism cannot be manually held in the ON position while a fault current is present. This critical safety feature reduces the risk of wire insulation meltdowns, equipment damage, and electrical fires if an operator attempts to force a circuit active during an active short circuit or overload.
Key Features and Technical Advantages
- Magnetic Hydraulic Operation: Delivers consistent 32A overcurrent protection without derating in high-temperature environments.
- Trip-Free Safety Mechanism: Internal contacts disconnect during a fault even if the toggle actuator is physically held in the ON position.
- Linked Double-Pole Actuator: Mechanically tied handle ensures simultaneous manual switching and synchronized tripping across both poles.
- Secure Panel Mounting: Equipped with integrated brass threaded inserts for durable, vibration-resistant front panel installation.
- Global Compliance Standards: Meets ABYC standards, is UL 1077 recognized, TUV certified, CE marked, and CSA certified for AC and DC applications.
Engineered for Demanding Electrical Panels
Double-pole circuit breakers are essential for applications requiring simultaneous disconnection of both lines, such as AC shore power inlets, inverter outputs, and isolated DC distribution circuits. The robust black toggle and brass threaded mounting holes ensure a clean, professional finish that withstands the shock and vibration typical of marine vessels and off-road touring vehicles.
With comprehensive international certifications including ABYC, UL 1077, TUV, CE, and CSA, this component provides electrical installers and system builders with verified compliance for domestic and commercial builds alike.
