Blue Sea 30A A-Series Double-Pole Raised Rocker Circuit Breaker

DESCRIPTION

Reliable Dual-Line Switching and Overcurrent Protection

The Blue Sea A-Series 30A Double-Pole Raised Rocker Circuit Breaker (BS-7574B) combines dependable switching and overcurrent protection into a single, compact device. Designed for demanding marine, RV, caravan, and off-grid electrical panels, this two-pole configuration allows for the simultaneous switching and protection of two lines. Whether you are isolating both active and neutral conductors in an AC main circuit or managing dual DC lines, this unit delivers consistent, synchronized control.

Engineered for Safety: Trip-Free Mechanism

When managing high-amperage electrical systems, safety during a fault condition is critical. This A-Series breaker features an internal trip-free design. In the event of an overcurrent or short-circuit condition, the internal mechanism will trip and break the circuit even if the external rocker actuator is physically held in the ON position. This mitigates the risk of thermal damage, melted wiring, or electrical fires caused by accidental or forced overrides, offering a substantial safety upgrade over standard switches paired with separate fuses.

Ergonomic Control and Flexible Panel Integration

Built for clear operation in low-light or high-vibration environments, the raised rocker actuator provides positive tactile feedback. A vivid colour indicator on the actuator clearly shows when the breaker is in the OFF position, eliminating guesswork during system maintenance or troubleshooting. Furthermore, the housing is printed with international ON/OFF symbols that support both vertical and horizontal mounting orientations, giving system builders complete flexibility when laying out custom switchboards and distribution panels.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Simultaneous Two-Pole Operation: Switches and protects two electrical lines at the same time, ideal for main circuit isolation.
  • Trip-Free Safety Design: Cannot be manually held in the ON position during a fault current, ensuring uninterrupted overcurrent protection.
  • Clear Visual Status: Features a colour actuator that distinctly indicates the OFF position at a glance.
  • Versatile Mounting Orientation: International ON/OFF symbols are legible in both vertical and horizontal panel layouts.
  • Secure Panel Fitment: Equipped with robust M3 brass threaded inserts to ensure a durable, vibration-resistant installation within electrical panels.
  • Ergonomic Raised Rocker: Provides easy manual switching alongside clear labelling for straightforward identification of electrical ratings.

Built for Demanding Electrical Environments

Unlike standard residential or uncertified breakers that can suffer from corrosion and mechanical fatigue in mobile applications, Blue Sea Systems engineers the A-Series specifically for harsh environments. The inclusion of M3 brass mounting inserts prevents thread stripping during installation and maintains a tight seal against the panel face over years of road corrugations or wave impacts. By combining the functions of a heavy-duty switch and a precision circuit breaker, it reduces wiring complexity, saves valuable dashboard space, and minimises potential points of failure in your power distribution system.

Upgrade Your Electrical Distribution Panel

Ensure your marine vessel, caravan, or off-grid power system is protected against electrical faults with industry-standard hardware. Add the Blue Sea A-Series 30A Double-Pole Circuit Breaker to your build today for streamlined, reliable circuit control.
