Blue Sea 3-Circuit MRBF Fuse Block with Common Negative and Clip-On Insulating Cover
Blue Sea 3-Circuit MRBF Fuse Block with Common Negative and Clip-On Insulating Cover
Suits 3-Output Chargers | ABYC/USCG Compliant | Fuses Sold Separately

DESCRIPTION
Consolidated High-Amperage Circuit Protection for Multi-Output Systems
Managing multiple high-current circuits in confined spaces such as boat bilges, caravan battery compartments, and 4WD canopy setups often leads to cluttered wiring and increased risk of short circuits. The Blue Sea Systems 3-Circuit Marine Rated Battery Fuse (MRBF) Block solves this issue by consolidating three independent fused circuits and a shared ground connection into a single, compact footprint. Specifically engineered with a common negative configuration, this terminal fuse block is the ideal interface for three-output battery chargers, allowing installers to protect multiple charging lines while maintaining a centralised, accessible ground point.
Engineered for Safety and Compliance
Unlike standard non-isolated distribution blocks that leave live terminals exposed or require multiple individual fuse holders, this unit is supplied with a clear clip-on insulating cover. This protective cover satisfies strict ABYC and USCG insulation requirements, preventing accidental tool drops or loose wires from causing dangerous electrical shorts while still allowing for quick visual inspection of the fuses. Furthermore, because the unit accommodates specialized MRBF fuses (sold separately), it supports ignition-protected installations when paired with the appropriate fuses, reducing hazards in marine engine rooms or enclosed battery boxes.
Streamlined Installation and Corrosion Resistance
Designed to simplify complex DC distribution layouts, the block features versatile breakouts that allow all positive and negative cables to exit from a single side. This single-side wire routing capability helps technicians and DIY builders achieve clean, professional cable management without awkward bends or excessive cable strain. To ensure long-term electrical integrity in harsh coastal and off-road environments, the terminal studs are equipped with one-piece stainless steel flange nuts. This hardware resists corrosion and prevents the thread galling often experienced with inferior fasteners, ensuring safe and secure wire terminations over the life of the system.
Key Features and Benefits
- Three Independent MRBF Positions: Consolidates high-amperage circuit protection into one compact assembly, saving valuable mounting space.
- Integrated Common Negative Stud: Purpose-built for three-output battery chargers or multi-circuit DC accessories requiring a shared ground return.
- ABYC/USCG Compliant Cover: Clear clip-on insulating cover shields live terminals from accidental contact while permitting easy visual fuse inspection.
- Single-Side Wire Routing: Clever housing design allows all cables to exit from one side for neat, orderly wiring looms.
- Marine-Grade Hardware: One-piece stainless steel flange nuts ensure secure, corrosion-resistant connections in high-vibration and damp environments.
- Circuit Identification Recesses: Built-in label recesses accommodate Blue Sea Systems Square Format labels for clear system documentation and troubleshooting.
- Important Note: MRBF fuses are sold separately, allowing you to select the exact amperage ratings required for each individual circuit.
Ideal Applications
Whether you are fitting out a commercial marine vessel, upgrading an off-grid caravan electrical system, or wiring a dual-battery 4WD setup, this 3-circuit MRBF block delivers reliable, space-saving distribution. It is particularly effective for connecting multi-bank AC-to-DC battery chargers, distributing power to high-draw marine electronics, or organising primary battery feeds where space and safety are paramount.
