Blue Sea 24V 6A DeckHand Dimmer for Non-Regulated LED, Incandescent and Halogen Lights
Blue Sea 24V 6A DeckHand Dimmer for Non-Regulated LED, Incandescent and Halogen Lights
0-100% Digital Control, Memory Function & Momentary Rocker Switch

DESCRIPTION
Precision Digital Dimming for 24V Marine and Off-Grid Lighting
The Blue Sea 24V 6A DeckHand Dimmer offers precise, continuous digital brightness control for 24V lighting systems in marine vessels, motorhomes, and specialised off-grid setups. Unlike basic stepped dimmers or conventional rheostats that waste energy as heat and offer limited adjustment, this digital dimmer varies the output voltage continuously from 0% to 100% of the input voltage. Whether you need full illumination for deck work or ultra-low light levels to preserve night vision at the helm, the DeckHand dimmer provides smooth, flicker-free adjustment across the entire lighting range.
Engineered for versatility, this unit is fully compatible with non-regulated LEDs, incandescent bulbs, and halogen lights up to a 6A load. It comes complete with a dedicated momentary (ON)-OFF-(ON) rocker switch, giving you an out-of-the-box control solution for helm stations, cabin control panels, and canopy setups.
Intelligent Memory and Illuminated Exit Delay
Designed with practical user convenience in mind, the DeckHand dimmer incorporates built-in memory that automatically retains your last brightness setting, even after the main power is switched off. This prevents the frustration of being blinded by 100% brightness when turning cabin or helm lights back on at night. Additionally, the unit features an illuminated exit function with an adjustable time delay. This allows you to safely exit a dark cabin, boat deck, or vehicle interior with the lights remaining on for a set period before automatically shutting down, reducing the risk of trips and falls while preventing accidental battery drain.
Key Features and Benefits
- Continuous 0% to 100% Digital Control: Adjust brightness smoothly across the entire range without fixed steps.
- Broad Lighting Compatibility: Purpose-built for 24V non-regulated LED, incandescent, and halogen lighting circuits up to 6A.
- Last-Setting Memory: Automatically recalls the previous brightness level upon startup to protect night vision.
- Illuminated Exit Function: Features an adjustable time delay that keeps lights on briefly while you exit the area.
- Space-Saving Installation: Offset mounting tabs allow multiple dimmer modules to be mounted closely together in compact electrical lockers.
- Efficient Thermal Management: Housed in a robust enclosure with integrated cooling fins to dissipate heat safely during high-load operation.
- Complete Control Package: Includes a grey momentary (ON)-OFF-(ON) rocker switch and colour-coded flying leads for straightforward wiring integration.
Built for Demanding Electrical Environments
When installing multiple lighting zones in a boat console or caravan electrical cabinet, panel space is often at a premium. The Blue Sea DeckHand dimmer solves this problem with clever offset mounting tabs, allowing you to nest several dimmer modules side-by-side without widening their footprint. Furthermore, inferior dimming controllers often suffer from thermal overload when driving high-wattage halogen or incandescent lamps. The BS-7504B mitigates this risk with an integrated heatsink housing with cooling fins, ensuring reliable thermal management and long-term durability in enclosed spaces.
Please note: This dimmer is designed specifically for non-regulated LED lights, as well as standard incandescent and halogen bulbs. It is not suitable for regulated LED fixtures that contain their own internal voltage drivers.
