Blue Sea 240VAC 65A Rotary Switch Panel 4 Pole 2 Positions + OFF
Blue Sea 240VAC 65A Rotary Switch Panel 4 Pole 2 Positions + OFF
Dual 120/240V Shore & Generator Switch with Polarity LEDs

DESCRIPTION
Heavy-Duty 240VAC Source Selection for Marine and Off-Grid Power Systems
Managing multiple alternating current power sources safely and efficiently is critical in complex marine, RV, and off-grid electrical installations. The AC Rotary Panel 240VAC 65A OFF + 2 4P provides a reliable, manual switching solution for systems utilising both shore power and an onboard generator, or dual inverter configurations. Designed to handle substantial electrical loads up to 65A, this 4-pole rotary selector panel ensures positive isolation between competing AC inputs, eliminating the risk of accidental back-feeding and equipment damage.
Unlike standard transfer switches that may lack tactile feedback or clear visual diagnostics, this rotary panel offers intuitive operation with distinct positions for Shore, Generator, and Off. It is specifically engineered as a compact source selection solution for installations where primary circuit protection (such as main circuit breakers or residual current devices) is already provided elsewhere in the distribution system.
Key Features and System Benefits
- Dual 120V/240VAC Source Switching: Safely selects between two separate 120V/240VAC sources (such as shore power and a generator) to feed a single downstream AC load circuit.
- 4-Pole Isolation: Simultaneously switches active and neutral lines across dual-phase or split-phase configurations, ensuring complete electrical isolation required by strict marine and off-grid standards.
- Integrated LED Diagnostics: Features green LED indicators to confirm power availability on each input, paired with red reverse polarity LED indicators to alert operators to dangerous wiring faults before engaging the load.
- Marine-Grade Construction: Built from heavy 1/8" (Approx. 3.2mm) 5052 aluminium alloy with a durable two-part polyurethane slate grey finish to resist corrosion in harsh coastal and marine environments.
- High-Capacity Switching: Rated for a maximum continuous amperage of 65A, accommodating high-demand appliances such as air conditioning units, water heaters, and large battery chargers.
Enhanced Safety Through Visual Monitoring
Connecting to unfamiliar shore power pedestals at marinas or caravan parks carries the inherent risk of reverse polarity, where active and neutral conductors are accidentally cross-wired. This fault creates a severe electrocution hazard and can damage sensitive onboard electronics. This AC rotary panel mitigates this risk by incorporating dedicated monitoring LEDs for both the shore and generator inputs. Before turning the heavy-duty rotary selector knob from the OFF position, operators can visually verify that green power is available and ensure the red reverse polarity warning light is not illuminated.
Engineered for Harsh Environments
Constructed from corrosion-resistant 5052-grade aluminium, the faceplate is engineered to withstand the vibration, moisture, and salt-laden air typical of marine vessels and industrial mobile vehicles. The slate grey polyurethane coating provides abrasion resistance and a clean, professional aesthetic that integrates seamlessly into modern helm stations or electrical distribution boards. With four recessed corner mounting points, the panel installs flush into existing cabinetry or custom switchboards.
Important Installation Considerations
Please note that this unit functions strictly as a manual rotary selector switch and diagnostic panel. It does not contain internal fuses or circuit breakers. To ensure compliance with Australian electrical standards and maintain system safety, appropriate overcurrent and fault protection must be installed upstream of this panel for each AC source.
Upgrade Your AC Power Management
Ensure safe, reliable switching between your shore power and generator inputs. Add the 65A 4-Pole AC Rotary Panel to your electrical system specification today for professional-grade source control.
