Blue Sea 230VAC 30A Panel 360 Rotary Source Selector Switch, Off+3 Sources
Blue Sea 230VAC 30A Panel 360 Rotary Source Selector Switch, Off+3 Sources
Green Power & Red Reverse-Polarity LEDs for Shore Power & Generators

DESCRIPTION
Reliable Multi-Source AC Power Management for Marine and Off-Grid Systems
Managing multiple alternating current power inputs in a marine vessel, caravan, or off-grid vehicle requires a dependable isolation solution. The Blue Sea Systems 360 Panel Rotary AC Source Selector Switch provides a centralised, heavy-duty control point to safely transition between up to three separate 230V AC power sources, such as dual shore power inlets, an onboard generator, or an inverter. Engineered to handle loads up to 30A, this rotary switch panel prevents accidental back-feeding and simplifies complex electrical distribution setups.
Unlike standard Industrial switches that lack diagnostic feedback, this unit integrates directly into the modular Blue Sea 360 Panel system and features built-in visual status indicators. Operators receive immediate confirmation of line conditions before and during operation, reducing the risk of damaging sensitive onboard appliances or air conditioning units.
Key Features and System Benefits
- Three-Source Switching with Off Position: Effortlessly select between three independent 230V AC inputs (commonly configured for two shore power lines and one generator) or isolate the circuit completely.
- 30A Current Capacity: Heavy-duty rotary contacts are rated to manage substantial 230V AC electrical loads in demanding mobile and marine environments.
- Integrated Reverse-Polarity Protection: Dedicated red LED indicators illuminate immediately if a reverse-polarity fault is detected on the incoming line, alerting the user to potentially hazardous wiring conditions before equipment is damaged.
- Power Availability Confirmation: Green LED indicators provide clear visual verification that active voltage is present at the selected source, taking the guesswork out of troubleshooting shore or generator feeds.
- 360 Panel Modular Design: Features a durable, marine-grade textured finish with clear labelling that integrates cleanly into new or existing Blue Sea 360 series electrical switchboards.
Enhanced Safety Against Electrical Faults
Connecting to unfamiliar marina shore power pedestals or campsites carries the inherent risk of incorrect wiring. Reverse polarity between active and neutral conductors can create severe shock hazards and compromise onboard electronics. By incorporating red reverse-polarity warning LEDs directly onto the fascia, this selector panel acts as an early warning system. Operators can visually verify that the incoming supply is safe and active via the green LEDs prior to engaging heavy loads.
The mechanical rotary dial ensures positive, break-before-make switching action. This physically prevents two asynchronous AC sources, such as shore power and an inverter or generator, from being connected simultaneously, eliminating the risk of catastrophic phase-clash or back-feeding into external grids.
Applications and Installation
Designed for both professional marine electricians and experienced system builders, the panel comes clearly labelled for intuitive operation in low-light cabin environments. It is ideally suited for larger yachts, cruisers, expedition vehicles, and fifth-wheel caravans utilising multiple 230V AC inputs.
- Larger marine vessels equipped with dual shore power inlets (e.g., house loads and dedicated air conditioning circuits) plus an onboard marine generator.
- Off-grid motorhomes and commercial vehicles switching between mains hook-up, a portable generator, and a high-output 230V inverter.
- Custom 360 Series electrical distribution panels requiring a clean, factory-finished AC control module.
Upgrade Your AC Power Control
