Blue Sea 230VAC distribution panel with 16A main breaker and six 8A circuit breaker positions

Blue Sea 230VAC 16A Main + 6 Position 8A Circuit Breaker Panel

DESCRIPTION

Reliable 230V AC Power Distribution for Marine and Off-Grid Systems

Managing high-voltage alternating current in mobile, marine, and off-grid environments demands uncompromising safety and precision. The Blue Sea Systems 8127B 230V AC Distribution Panel provides a centralised, robust solution for controlling and protecting your onboard or remote AC electrical loads. Engineered to meet stringent marine and automotive electrical standards, this panel combines main system isolation with individual branch circuit protection in a compact, streamlined footprint.

Whether you are fitting out a commercial vessel, upgrading a luxury yacht, or building a custom off-grid motorhome, this AC distribution panel simplifies complex wiring while significantly reducing the risk of electrical faults. Unlike standard consumer-grade switchboards, this unit is specifically constructed to withstand the vibration, moisture, and thermal variations typical of demanding Australian marine and touring applications.

Pre-Wired Convenience and Expandable Design

Time spent behind the dash or inside tight electrical cabinets is drastically reduced thanks to the fully pre-wired architecture of the 8127B panel. All active (hot), neutral, and safety earth (ground) buses are factory-installed and pre-wired, allowing for straightforward integration into your existing 230V AC shore power, generator, or inverter system.

While the panel features six dedicated branch positions, it comes pre-populated with three 8A single-pole A-Series toggle circuit breakers alongside the primary 16A double-pole main breaker. This leaves three spare positions ready for future customisation, allowing you to easily add extra breakers as your power requirements grow. Please note that while three 8A branch breakers are included, additional breakers for the remaining three expandable positions are sold separately.

Enhanced Safety and Diagnostic Visibility

Operating 230V AC systems requires clear, immediate visual feedback to prevent equipment damage and ensure user safety. This panel incorporates an integrated red reverse polarity indicating LED, which immediately alerts you if the active and neutral shore power or generator lines are incorrectly wired. Each circuit position also features a dedicated green LED indicator to confirm when a specific load is live, alongside standard backlit label positions that require no additional kits for low-light visibility.

  • Comprehensive Main Protection: Includes a pre-installed 16A double-pole A-Series white toggle main circuit breaker to isolate both active and neutral lines simultaneously.
  • Ready-to-Use Branch Circuits: Supplied with three 8A single-pole branch circuit breakers installed, with three additional blank spaces for future system expansion.
  • Factory Pre-Wired Buses: All active, neutral, and safety earth buses are fully installed and wired to minimise installation time and wiring errors.
  • Integrated Safety Monitoring: Features a dedicated red LED for reverse polarity warnings and individual green "ON" indicating LEDs for every circuit position.
  • Low-Light Readability: All circuit label positions are backlit as standard without needing extra accessories, and the unit includes a 30-piece basic AC label set for custom load identification.

Engineered for Harsh Environments

Standard residential distribution boards often fail when subjected to the constant movement and corrosive atmosphere of marine and mobile setups. The Blue Sea Systems 230V AC panel mitigates these risks through heavy-duty busbars and reliable hydraulic-magnetic A-Series circuit breakers that are unaffected by ambient temperature spikes. It is an ideal match for managing power to onboard air conditioning, water heaters, battery chargers, and galley appliances.

Upgrade Your AC Electrical Safety

Ensure your vessel or off-grid vehicle is equipped with professional-grade circuit protection. Add the Blue Sea Systems 230V AC Main and 6-Position Distribution Panel to your setup today for safe, organised, and expandable power management.
