Blue Sea 230VAC 16A Main 3 Position 8A Branch Circuit Breaker Panel with Digital Multimeter
Blue Sea Systems Pre-Wired Switchboard with AC Digital Multimeter

DESCRIPTION
Blue Sea Systems 8505B 230V AC Distribution Panel with Digital Multimeter
Pre-Wired AC Power Management and Protection for Marine and Off-Grid Systems
Managing high-voltage alternating current in mobile, marine, and off-grid environments requires uncompromising safety and precision. The Blue Sea Systems 8505B 230V AC distribution panel provides a centralized, pre-wired hub for switching and protecting your essential AC appliances. Engineered specifically to handle the demands of boats, caravans, RVs, and remote cabins, this 3-position breaker panel simplifies installation while significantly reducing the risks associated with improper AC wiring or overload conditions.
Unlike basic or unbranded switchboards that require extensive manual assembly, this unit comes with all hot, neutral, and safety ground buses factory-installed and fully pre-wired. This plug-and-play architecture not only saves valuable installation time for electrical contractors and DIY builders alike, but also minimizes the risk of loose connections, voltage drop, and thermal hazards in high-vibration environments.
Integrated Digital Monitoring and Alarm System
A standout feature of this AC distribution panel is the built-in 8247 AC Digital Multi-Function Meter. Rather than relying on external gauges or guessing your power consumption, the bright LED display provides real-time, accurate readouts of system voltage, current (amperage), wattage, and frequency. This allows you to actively monitor shore power quality or inverter output at a glance.
Furthermore, the integrated meter features programmable visual and audible alarms for high/low voltage and excessive current draw. This proactive warning system helps protect sensitive onboard electronics from brownouts, surges, and accidental inverter overloads before a breaker even trips.
Key Features and Benefits
- Comprehensive Circuit Protection: Features one double-pole 16A A-Series main circuit breaker for complete isolation of both hot and neutral lines, paired with three single-pole 8A branch breakers for individual appliance circuits.
- Reverse Polarity Warning: Equipped with a dedicated red indicating LED that immediately alerts you if hot and neutral lines are reversed, a critical safety feature when connecting to unfamiliar shore power pedestals or generators.
- Real-Time Digital Diagnostics: Integrated AC multimeter tracks voltage, current, power, and frequency with customizable safety alarms.
- Low-Light Visibility: All circuit label positions come standard with factory-installed backlighting and green 'ON' status LEDs, ensuring effortless operation in dark marine cabins or RV interiors without needing additional upgrade kits.
- Turnkey Pre-Wired Busbars: Pre-installed hot, neutral, and earth buses streamline the wiring process and ensure compliance with strict electrical standards.
- Customisable Identification: Includes a 30-piece basic AC label set to clearly mark circuits for water heaters, battery chargers, air conditioning, or general power outlets.
Engineered for Harsh Environments
At the heart of this panel are genuine Blue Sea Systems A-Series magnetic-hydraulic toggle circuit breakers. Unlike standard thermal breakers that can nuisance-trip in hot engine rooms or enclosed cabinetry, magnetic-hydraulic breakers are unaffected by ambient temperature fluctuations. They combine switching and circuit protection into a single durable device, featuring a 'trip-free' design that cannot be held manually in the 'ON' position during a fault current event.
The panel face is constructed from heavy-duty, corrosion-resistant aluminium with a durable industrial coating, ensuring long-term reliability against salt mist, humidity, and UV exposure. Whether you are managing a 230V inverter output in a custom expedition vehicle or distributing shore power aboard a cruising yacht, this compact panel delivers professional-grade circuit management.
