Blue Sea 230VAC 16A 3-Position Main Distribution Panel
Blue Sea 230VAC 16A 3-Position Main Distribution Panel
Pre-Wired with Volt/Amp Meters, Backlit Labels & Polarity LED

DESCRIPTION
Reliable 230V AC Power Management with Integrated Metering and Safety
Managing alternating current in mobile, marine, and off-grid environments requires uncompromising safety and precision. The Blue Sea Systems 8509B AC Distribution Panel is engineered to simplify complex 230VAC electrical installations while providing comprehensive circuit protection and real-time system monitoring. Designed for seamless integration into marine vessels, caravans, motorhomes, and specialised commercial vehicles, this panel centralises your main incoming AC supply and safely distributes it across three individual branch circuits.
Pre-Wired Convenience for Streamlined Installation
Building a compliant and tidy AC switchboard from individual components can be time-consuming and prone to wiring errors. This distribution panel arrives fully pre-wired with all hot, neutral, and safety ground buses factory-installed. By consolidating these critical busbars into a single, cohesive unit, installation time is significantly reduced, and the risk of loose connections caused by vibration in mobile applications is minimised. Installers simply need to connect the main incoming 230VAC supply and run the outgoing load wires to their respective appliances.
Proactive Safety and Real-Time Analogue Monitoring
When connecting to shore power, a generator, or an onboard inverter, knowing the exact status of your power supply is vital to protecting sensitive downstream electronics. Unlike standard switch panels, this unit features integrated analogue metering and proactive visual alerts:
- Integrated Analogue Voltmeter and Ammeter: Monitor line voltage (up to 250V) and total current draw (up to 50A) at a glance, allowing you to actively manage loads and prevent main breaker trips before they occur.
- Reverse Polarity Protection Alert: A dedicated red LED indicator provides an immediate visual warning if dangerous reverse polarity is detected on the incoming shore power or generator line, helping to mitigate shock hazards and equipment damage.
- Double-Pole 16A Main Breaker: Offers robust primary panel protection, isolating both active and neutral lines simultaneously for enhanced safety during maintenance or fault conditions.
- Individual 8A Branch Breakers: Three dedicated circuit positions manage and protect individual AC loads such as battery chargers, water heaters, or power outlets, each paired with a green 'ON' status indicator LED.
- Backlit Circuit Labels: Standard backlit label positions ensure clear circuit identification in low-light cabins, lockers, or control rooms without requiring any additional backlighting kits.
Engineered for Harsh Marine and Off-Grid Environments
Inferior distribution boards often suffer from corrosion, illegible labels, and tedious point-to-point wiring that degrades over time. Blue Sea Systems constructs their panels to withstand the rigours of high-moisture and high-vibration environments. Whether you are upgrading an ageing marine electrical system, fitting out an off-grid expedition vehicle, or managing inverter output in a remote cabin, this panel delivers professional-grade organisation and operational visibility.
Upgrade Your AC Electrical System
Ensure safe, organised, and easily monitored 230VAC power distribution for your next marine or mobile build. Add the Blue Sea 8509B AC Distribution Panel to your system today for a streamlined, professional installation.
