Blue Sea 230VAC 16A 14-Position Electrical Distribution Panel with 8A Circuits
Blue Sea 230VAC 16A 14-Position Electrical Distribution Panel with 8A Circuits
Pre-Wired Hot, Neutral & Ground Buses with Backlit Labels & Status LEDs

DESCRIPTION
Pre-Wired 230VAC Electrical Distribution for Marine, Off-Grid and Mobile Systems
Managing alternating current safely and efficiently is critical in complex electrical installations. This Blue Sea Systems 230VAC electrical distribution panel provides a centralised, organised hub for managing shore power, inverter outputs, or generator feeds. Engineered for demanding environments such as marine vessels, caravans, motorhomes, and specialised commercial vehicles, this 14-position AC switchboard combines circuit switching and overcurrent protection into one streamlined interface.
Unlike unbranded alternatives that require extensive manual assembly and complex wiring harnesses, this AC distribution panel arrives with the hot, neutral, and safety-ground buses already installed and fully pre-wired. This factory-tested configuration significantly reduces installation time, minimises the risk of wiring errors during fit-out, and ensures a tidy, compliant cabinet layout right out of the box.
Enhanced Safety and System Diagnostics
Working with 230VAC power requires strict adherence to safety protocols, especially in mobile or damp environments where shore power pedestals can occasionally be wired incorrectly. To mitigate the risk of equipment damage and electrical shock, this panel features a dedicated red reverse-polarity LED indicator. If the incoming live and neutral conductors are reversed, the warning light provides an immediate visual alert before you engage individual branch circuits.
The panel is equipped with a double-pole 16A main circuit breaker to isolate the incoming 230VAC supply, alongside individual 8A branch circuit breakers for protected device loads. Each circuit position features an integrated green ON-indicating LED, allowing operators to verify active loads at a glance. Additionally, the circuit label positions are backlit as standard, ensuring effortless circuit identification and safe operation inside dark lockers, helm stations, or unlit cabin spaces.
Key Features and Benefits
- Fully Pre-Wired Bus Bars: Factory-installed hot, neutral, and safety-ground buses streamline installation and ensure reliable electrical continuity.
- Integrated Reverse-Polarity Protection: A prominent red warning LED immediately alerts users to hazardous shore power or generator wiring faults.
- Clear Visual Status Indicators: Green LEDs at every circuit position confirm which 230VAC appliances and outlets are currently energised.
- Low-Light Readability: Backlit label positions provide high-contrast visibility in dark cabins, engine rooms, or utility compartments.
- Modular Expansion Capability: Includes populated 8A branch breakers alongside available expansion slots to accommodate future system upgrades and custom load requirements.
- Heavy-Duty Construction: Built to withstand vibration and coastal conditions typical of marine and off-grid touring applications.
Ideal Applications
This 14-position 230VAC breaker panel is an ideal solution for electrical technicians and system builders requiring dependable AC load management. Typical applications include:
- Marine Vessels: Yachts, cruisers, and commercial workboats managing 230VAC shore power and onboard marine generators.
- Recreational Vehicles: Large caravans, fifth-wheelers, and off-grid expedition trucks utilising high-output inverter/chargers.
- Mobile Workstations: Service vehicles, mobile laboratories, and broadcast vans requiring multiple protected 230VAC appliance circuits.
