Blue Sea 16A A-Series Double Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker White
Blue Sea 16A A-Series Double Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker White
Magnetic-Hydraulic Protection - Trip-Free Design - ABYC & UL 1077

DESCRIPTION
Integrated Magnetic-Hydraulic Circuit Protection and Switching
The Blue Sea A-Series 16A Double-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker combines reliable circuit protection and manual switching into a single, compact panel-mount device. Engineered specifically for demanding marine, RV, and off-grid electrical panels, this breaker eliminates the need for separate switches and fuse holders, streamlining your installation while improving system safety.
Featuring linked white toggle handles, the double-pole configuration ensures simultaneous switching and overcurrent interruption across both poles. This makes it an ideal choice for AC main circuit protection or any dual-wire electrical application where breaking both active and neutral conductors (or positive and negative lines) at the same time is required by safety standards.
Advanced Magnetic-Hydraulic Technology
Unlike standard thermal breakers that rely on heat buildup to trip and can suffer from nuisance tripping in hot engine bays or enclosed electrical cabinets, the Blue Sea A-Series uses a magnetic-hydraulic mechanism. This advanced internal design responds directly to current flow rather than ambient temperature variations. As a result, it maintains a consistent 16A trip profile regardless of whether you are operating in freezing coastal conditions or the extreme heat of the Australian outback.
Engineered for Maximum Safety and Compliance
When managing onboard or off-grid power systems, compromising on safety components introduces severe fire and equipment hazards. This A-Series breaker features a 'Trip-Free' internal mechanism, meaning the toggle cannot be manually held in the 'ON' position while a fault-current condition exists. Even if the actuator is physically blocked or held down, the internal contacts will disconnect immediately upon detecting a dangerous overcurrent event.
- Dual-Function Design: Combines manual toggle switching and automatic overcurrent protection in one compact housing.
- Simultaneous Double-Pole Disconnection: Mechanically linked white toggle actuators ensure both circuits break together during a fault or manual shut-off.
- Magnetic-Hydraulic Operation: Delivers precise, temperature-independent trip accuracy that resists nuisance tripping in hot enclosures.
- Trip-Free Safety Mechanism: Prevents the circuit from being forced or held open during an active overcurrent fault.
- Secure Panel Mounting: Equipped with threaded brass mounting inserts for straightforward, vibration-resistant installation into electrical panels.
- Global Marine and Industrial Certifications: Meets ABYC standards, is UL 1077 recognised, TUV certified, CE marked, and CSA certified.
Why Upgrade to Blue Sea Systems?
Inferior circuit protection devices often degrade in high-vibration or moisture-prone environments, leading to high-resistance connections, voltage drop, or failure to trip during a critical short circuit. The Blue Sea A-Series is industry-recognised as the standard for marine electrical panels. Its robust black housing, clearly labelled amperage rating, and corrosion-resistant internal components reduce the risk of electrical failure, protecting both your downstream appliances and your vessel or vehicle wiring harness.
Upgrade Your Electrical Panel Today
Ensure your marine, caravan, or off-grid electrical distribution panel meets the highest international safety benchmarks. Add the Blue Sea A-Series 16A Double-Pole Circuit Breaker to your build today for dependable, consolidated switching and fault protection.
