Blue Sea 15A OFF-ON Backlit Stainless Steel Button Switch
316 Stainless Face, Blue/Red LED Status, Tinned Leads & 5 Icon Labels

DESCRIPTION
Heavy-Duty Illuminated Push Button Switch for Marine and Off-Grid Panels
Managing critical electrical circuits in low-light conditions or rough seas requires dependable, clearly identifiable controls. The Blue Sea Systems 15A Push Button Switch offers a sleek, modern alternative to traditional toggle and rocker switches. Engineered specifically for harsh marine, RV, and off-grid automotive environments, this latch-action switch combines a high-grade 316 stainless steel bezel with intuitive dual-colour LED backlighting to deliver reliable circuit control and instant visual feedback on your dashboard or control panel.
Intuitive Dual-Colour Status Indication
Navigating a boat helm at night or checking an off-grid 4WD canopy panel in the dark can be challenging if your switches lack clear status indicators. This unit eliminates guesswork with its integrated dual-colour LED illumination. The backlit icon glows a subtle blue when the circuit is OFF, making the switch easy to locate in complete darkness. When pressed and latched into the ON position, the illumination changes to red, providing an unmistakable visual confirmation that your circuit is live and drawing power. This simple yet effective feature helps prevent accidental battery drain caused by leaving accessories running unnoticed.
Built for Harsh Marine and Automotive Environments
Standard plastic switches often degrade, crack, or suffer from internal corrosion when exposed to salt spray, high humidity, and constant vibration. Blue Sea Systems has constructed this switch with a corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel face, ensuring long-term durability and a clean aesthetic in exposed cockpits and dash panels. Furthermore, the rear of the switch is protected by a sealed housing boot to help prevent moisture and dust ingress from behind the panel. To simplify installation and combat wire rot in damp environments, the switch comes pre-wired with marine-grade tinned copper wire leads, ensuring secure and reliable electrical termination.
Key Features and Benefits
- 15A Continuous Rating: Capable of handling substantial electrical loads directly, reducing the need for external relays on standard lighting and pump circuits.
- 316 Stainless Steel Construction: Provides exceptional resistance to rust and salt mist corrosion compared to standard-grade alternatives.
- Dual-Colour LED Backlighting: Glows blue when OFF for easy night-time location and switches to red when ON for immediate status verification.
- Sealed Rear Enclosure: Protective rear boot guards internal contacts against moisture, condensation, and dust ingress.
- Pre-Wired Tinned Leads: Supplied with tinned copper flying leads for straightforward wiring and superior corrosion resistance.
- Customisable Icon System: Includes five common circuit labels right out of the box to keep your helm or control board organised.
Tailored Circuit Identification
A cluttered or poorly labelled switch panel can lead to operational errors when you need to act fast. To ensure your setup remains clean and professional, this switch includes five interchangeable ICON labels tailored for essential marine and mobile circuits: Accessory, Lights, Anchor Light, Running Light, and Bilge Pump. The illuminated icon sits flush within the push button face, allowing you to customise the switch to its exact function. Please note that if your installation requires more specialised circuit naming, an additional 50 ICON label kit is available and sold separately.
