Blue Sea 15A A-Series Single Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker - Red

DESCRIPTION

Integrated Magnetic-Hydraulic Switching and Circuit Protection

Precision Electrical Control for Marine, RV, and Off-Grid Panels

The Blue Sea A-Series 15A Single-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker combines manual switching and overcurrent circuit protection into a single, compact device. Engineered specifically for high-reliability electrical panels, this unit eliminates the need for separate switches and fuse holders, streamlining your wiring architecture while reducing potential points of failure in demanding marine, automotive, and off-grid environments.

Featuring a high-visibility red toggle actuator clearly marked with its 15A rating, this breaker allows for rapid visual identification of critical circuits. Whether used as a dedicated branch circuit switch or for essential emergency equipment, the red actuator provides immediate clarity on crowded electrical switchboards.

Why Choose Magnetic-Hydraulic Technology?

Unlike standard thermal breakers that rely on heat-sensitive bimetallic strips, this Blue Sea Systems breaker utilises advanced magnetic-hydraulic operation. Standard thermal units can suffer from nuisance tripping when ambient temperatures rise in enclosed engine bays, canopies, or marine cabins. Magnetic-hydraulic breakers sense only the actual current flowing through the circuit, ensuring the 15A trip point remains stable and accurate regardless of surrounding temperature fluctuations.

Additionally, the internal mechanism incorporates a trip-free design. This vital safety feature ensures that the internal contacts cannot be manually held in the closed (ON) position while a fault-current condition exists, protecting your cabling and downstream electronics from severe overload or short-circuit damage.

  • Dual-Function Design: Combines heavy-duty manual circuit switching and precise 15A overcurrent protection in one compact unit.
  • Magnetic-Hydraulic Operation: Delivers consistent, temperature-stable trip performance without premature derating in hot environments.
  • Trip-Free Safety Mechanism: Internal contacts disconnect during a fault and cannot be forced or held ON until the electrical issue is resolved.
  • Durable Phenolic Housing: Robust black casing resists heat, vibration, and moisture in harsh marine and mobile installations.
  • Secure Panel Mounting: Integrated threaded brass inserts ensure reliable front-panel installation into Blue Sea Systems distribution panels and custom switchboards.
  • High-Visibility Red Toggle: Clearly labelled 15A actuator allows for quick circuit identification and straightforward manual operation.

Engineered for Harsh Environments and Critical Applications

Constructed with a rugged black phenolic housing and precision brass mounting inserts, the A-Series breaker is built to endure constant vibration and coastal conditions. It is the industry standard for upgrading or expanding Blue Sea Systems electrical panels, custom 4WD dual-battery control boards, caravan power distribution hubs, and commercial marine vessels.

By replacing traditional glass or blade fuses with a resettable toggle circuit breaker, system operators can quickly diagnose and restore power without carrying spare consumables. It is ideally suited for protecting 15A branch loads such as bilge pumps, navigation electronics, cabin lighting, diesel heaters, and auxiliary 12V or 24V power sockets.

Upgrade Your Electrical Panel Protection

Integrate the Blue Sea A-Series 15A Single-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker into your custom switchboard or marine distribution panel today for dependable, temperature-stable circuit protection and effortless switching control.
