Blue Sea 15A 8-Position DC Electrical Distribution Panel
Blue Sea 15A 8-Position DC Electrical Distribution Panel
Pre-Wired Positive, Negative & Grounding Buses with Backlit Labels

DESCRIPTION
Centralised DC Circuit Management and Protection
Managing multiple electrical loads in demanding mobile or marine environments requires a structured, dependable distribution architecture. This Blue Sea Systems 8-position DC panel streamlines electrical installations by combining circuit switching and overcurrent protection into a single, heavy-duty aluminium faceplate. Engineered to eliminate the hazards of disorganised wiring and unprotected circuits, this unit arrives fully pre-wired with positive, negative, and grounding buses installed. This comprehensive factory wiring significantly reduces installation time, minimises connection errors, and provides a clean, central connection point for your entire DC electrical system.
Integrated A-Series Circuit Breakers and Clear Status Visibility
Unlike standard switch panels that require separate fuse blocks, this distribution panel utilizes genuine 15A A-Series toggle circuit breakers. These components serve a dual purpose: reliable manual switching and precise overcurrent protection for your essential accessories, lighting, and instrumentation. When an electrical fault or overload occurs, the breaker trips to isolate the circuit, reducing the risk of wire damage or electrical fires without the need to carry and replace blown fuses.
Operating in low-light conditions, such as a boat cabin at night or an unlit caravan interior, is effortless thanks to the integrated illumination features. Every circuit label position is backlit as standard, requiring no separate lighting kits or complex wiring additions. Furthermore, individual amber "ON" indicator LEDs are installed at every circuit position, giving operators immediate visual confirmation of which loads are currently energised.
Key Features and System Benefits
- Fully Pre-Wired Architecture: Factory-installed positive, negative, and grounding buses simplify complex installations and ensure high-integrity electrical pathways.
- Dual-Function A-Series Breakers: Provides integrated 15A circuit protection and manual toggle switching in one robust mechanism.
- Standard Backlit Labels: Customisable circuit label positions are illuminated out of the box for rapid identification in dark environments.
- Active Circuit Indicators: Dedicated amber LEDs at all eight positions clearly display active circuits to help prevent accidental battery drain.
- Heavy-Duty Construction: Features a corrosion-resistant aluminium faceplate designed for secure flush mounting in high-vibration marine and off-grid vehicle applications.
- Expandable System Compatibility: Panels equipped with meters include a toggle switch for monitoring up to three battery banks, and models with analogue meters can be owner-upgraded to 24V systems using Blue Sea 8240 or 8243 meters (rated for 18V to 32V DC).
Engineered for Marine, Caravan, and Off-Grid Applications
Inferior distribution panels often suffer from voltage drop, loose terminals, and premature corrosion, particularly when exposed to coastal air or road vibrations. The BS-8385B distribution panel addresses these vulnerabilities with industrial-grade components and secure corner mounting points. Whether you are fitting out a commercial marine vessel, upgrading a 4WD canopy electrical system, or building a custom caravan power setup, this 8-position panel delivers professional-grade circuit management.
Upgrade Your Electrical Distribution System
Ensure safe, organised, and easily identifiable circuit control for your next custom electrical fit-out. Integrate the Blue Sea 8-Position DC Distribution Panel into your marine, RV, or off-grid power system today for reliable, long-term circuit protection.
