Blue Sea 13 position 12V DC distribution panel with toggles, backlit labels and LED indicators

Blue Sea 15A 13 Position DC Electrical Distribution Panel

DESCRIPTION

Centralised, Pre-Wired 12V and 24V DC Circuit Protection and Switching

Managing complex electrical systems in marine vessels, off-grid caravans, and specialist service vehicles requires dependable circuit protection and intuitive organisation. The Blue Sea 15A 13 Position DC Electrical Distribution Panel offers a professional-grade solution for centralising your auxiliary power feeds. Arriving fully pre-wired with positive, negative, and grounding buses already installed, this unit significantly reduces installation time and eliminates the clutter of external busbars and custom wiring harnesses.

Unlike standard switch panels that rely on separate fuse blocks, this distribution panel integrates switching and circuit protection into a single, cohesive unit using reliable A-Series toggle circuit breakers. Each pre-installed breaker is rated at 15A, providing robust protection for lighting, bilge pumps, navigation electronics, communication radios, and cabin accessories. For systems with growing power requirements, the panel layout includes three open expansion slots, allowing you to fit additional circuit breakers tailored to future upgrades.

Engineered for Low-Light Visibility and Rapid Diagnostics

Operating a vessel at night or managing power inside a dimly lit RV canopy demands clear visual feedback. This panel comes standard with backlit circuit label positions, requiring no separate backlighting kit to install. Paired with amber ON-indicating LEDs fitted across all circuit positions, operators can verify active loads and identify tripped breakers at a glance, preventing accidental battery drain and simplifying system troubleshooting.

Key Features and System Benefits

  • Fully Pre-Wired Architecture: Integrated positive, negative, and grounding buses streamline installation and reduce potential failure points in high-vibration environments.
  • Integrated A-Series Breakers: Combines switching and 15A circuit protection into a single toggle action for reliable fault management.
  • Built-In Backlit Labels: Standard illuminated label positions ensure effortless circuit identification in low-light conditions without requiring add-on kits.
  • Active Status Indicators: Amber ON-indicating LEDs in every position provide immediate visual confirmation of live circuits.
  • Future-Ready Expansion: Features three available breaker slots to accommodate additional electrical accessories as your setup evolves.
  • Flush Mounting Design: Uses countersunk mounting fasteners for a clean, secure installation into dashboards, bulkheads, or electrical enclosures.

Versatile System Integration

Designed primarily for 12V DC architectures, this distribution panel can also be adapted for higher voltage applications. Note that while standard configurations suit 12V systems, on meter-equipped versions, a toggle switch supports monitoring for up to three battery banks, and analog meters can be owner-upgraded to 24V using compatible 8240 or 8243 meters (rated for 18V to 32V DC). By consolidating your wiring into a single engineered enclosure, you mitigate the risks of loose connections, voltage drop, and electrical shorts common in DIY setups.

Upgrade Your DC Power Management

Bring order, safety, and professional reliability to your marine or mobile electrical system. Add the Blue Sea 13-Position DC Distribution Panel to your build today for streamlined installation and dependable circuit control.
