Blue Sea 15A 12-Position DC Distribution Panel

DESCRIPTION

Pre-Wired 12V DC Power Distribution and Circuit Protection

Centralised Electrical Control for Marine Vessels, Caravans, and Off-Grid Setups

Managing multiple electrical circuits in a mobile or marine environment requires a reliable, organised approach to prevent wiring hazards and simplify fault finding. The Blue Sea 15A 12-Position DC Distribution Panel offers a professional-grade solution for centralising your 12V DC power management. Arriving fully pre-wired with positive, negative, and grounding buses already installed, this panel significantly reduces installation time and eliminates the clutter of messy, independent inline fuses behind your console or dashboard.

By consolidating twelve individual 15A magnetic-hydraulic toggle circuit breakers into a single, cohesive unit, this DC distribution panel combines switching and circuit protection into one durable assembly. It reduces the risk of loose connections, voltage drop, and electrical shorts that often plague unorganised custom setups. Whether you are outfitting a boat helm, upgrading a caravan electrical system, or building a custom off-grid service body, this panel provides dependable circuit control when you need it most.

Engineered for Low-Light Visibility and Practical Operation

Operating a vessel at night or managing power inside a dimly lit camper canopy demands intuitive, clearly visible controls. Unlike basic switch panels that require expensive aftermarket accessories for illumination, this unit comes standard with pre-installed backlit circuit label positions. Every individual circuit also features an integrated red "ON" indicating LED, providing immediate visual feedback on active loads so you can easily monitor your power consumption and prevent accidental battery drain.

  • Fully Pre-Wired Architecture: Factory-installed positive, negative, and grounding buses streamline the installation process and ensure clean, secure terminations behind the panel.
  • Dual-Function Magnetic-Hydraulic Breakers: Combines heavy-duty manual toggle switching with reliable 15A overcurrent protection across all 12 circuit positions.
  • Integrated Illumination: Backlit label positions come completely pre-installed for effortless low-light identification without needing a separate backlighting kit.
  • Active Status Monitoring: Individual red LEDs clearly indicate which circuits are energised, helping you manage loads efficiently.
  • Expandable System Compatibility: For panels fitted with an analogue meter, the unit includes a toggle switch for monitoring up to three battery banks and can be owner-upgraded for 24V DC operation using an 8240 or 8243 meter (18V to 32V DC, upgrade meters not included).

Built for Demanding Australian Conditions

Electrical systems in boats, 4WDs, and RVs are constantly subjected to vibration, moisture, and temperature fluctuations. Inferior panels often suffer from corroded terminals, nuisance tripping, or brittle switches over time. Blue Sea Systems designs their distribution panels to withstand harsh marine and mobile environments, utilising heavy-duty mounting points and precision-engineered components that maintain structural and electrical integrity over the long haul.

Ideal Applications

  • Marine Vessels: Centralise helm electronics, bilge pumps, navigation lights, and cabin accessories in yachts, cruisers, and commercial boats.
  • Caravans and Motorhomes: Organise 12V lighting, water pumps, refrigeration, and auxiliary power outlets in one accessible location.
  • Off-Grid and Industrial Canopies: Manage work lights, inverters, communication gear, and diagnostic equipment in service trucks and remote power stations.

Upgrade Your 12V Electrical System

Streamline your wiring and protect your essential equipment with a distribution panel engineered for clarity and longevity. Add the Blue Sea 15A 12-Position DC Distribution Panel to your build today for a cleaner, safer, and more reliable power setup.
