Blue Sea 150A ANL Fuse

DESCRIPTION

Heavy-Duty 150A Circuit Protection for Marine and Off-Grid DC Systems

Safeguarding high-current DC systems requires dependable overcurrent protection that will not fail under demanding conditions. The Blue Sea 150A ANL Fuse (BS-5127B) is engineered to provide reliable main circuit and heavy-load protection in marine, automotive, caravan, and off-grid solar installations. Whether you are securing a 12V, 24V, or 48V battery bank, wiring a high-output inverter, or protecting high-draw auxiliary equipment, this fuse delivers consistent performance and peace of mind.

Unlike inferior alternatives that can suffer from premature thermal fatigue, voltage drop, or corrosion in humid environments, Blue Sea Systems builds components specifically for harsh marine and mobile applications. By integrating high-conductivity materials with a robust housing, this 150A fuse reduces the risk of overheated connections and unexpected system downtime.

Engineered for Durability and Conductivity

At the core of this ANL fuse are corrosion-resistant, tin-plated copper terminals. In coastal, marine, and off-road touring environments, exposed copper quickly oxidises, increasing electrical resistance and generating unwanted heat at the terminal studs. The tin plating ensures long-term corrosion resistance and maintains optimal conductivity throughout the lifespan of your electrical system.

Surrounding the fuse element is a tough, glass-reinforced composite body designed to withstand high-temperature engine bays and enclosed battery compartments without warping or degrading. A clear central viewing window allows for immediate visual inspection of the fuse link status, enabling quick fault diagnosis without needing to pull out a multimeter first.

Key Features and Benefits

  • 150A Overcurrent Protection: Ideal for safeguarding main DC battery circuits, medium-sized inverters, windlasses, bow thrusters, and high-output DC-DC chargers.
  • Tin-Plated Copper Terminals: Prevents oxidation and corrosion in marine and humid environments while ensuring maximum current flow and minimal voltage drop.
  • Slotted Fork-Style Mounting: Allows the fuse to be slid into place or replaced by simply loosening the mounting stud nuts, eliminating the need to completely remove bolts and washers in tight spaces.
  • Clear Visual Indicator: Central viewing window provides an instant visual confirmation if the internal fuse link has blown.
  • High-Temperature Housing: Glass-reinforced composite body resists heat and mechanical stress in demanding mobile and industrial installations.

Streamlined Installation and Maintenance

Working inside cramped caravan electrical cabinets, 4WD canopy setups, or boat lockers can make routine maintenance frustrating. The slotted, fork-style terminal design of the Blue Sea ANL fuse solves a common installation headache. Instead of completely unthreading nuts and risking dropped washers into the bilge or behind cabinetry, installers only need to loosen the compatible ANL fuse block studs to slide the fuse securely into position.

Note: This component is the 150A ANL fuse only; a compatible ANL fuse block and protective cover are required for installation and are sold separately.

Secure Your High-Current Electrical System

Protect your valuable inverters, cabling, and battery banks from dangerous short circuits and overloads. Pair the Blue Sea 150A ANL Fuse with a compatible ANL fuse holder to build a safe, compliant, and durable DC power distribution system.
