Blue Sea 13 Position DC Electrical Panel with 15A V/A Meter
Blue Sea 13 Position DC Electrical Panel with 15A V/A Meter
Pre-Wired Buses, Backlit Labels & 3-Bank Battery Selector Switch

DESCRIPTION
Centralised DC Power Distribution and Real-Time System Monitoring
Managing complex electrical systems in marine vessels, off-grid setups, and custom recreational vehicles requires dependable circuit protection and clear visibility over power consumption. The Blue Sea 13 Position DC Electrical Panel provides a consolidated hub for switching, circuit protection, and battery bank monitoring. Arriving fully pre-wired with positive, negative, and grounding buses already installed, this distribution panel significantly reduces installation time and eliminates the clutter and potential failure points associated with unorganised wiring harnesses.
Unlike basic switch panels that require external shunts and aftermarket gauges, this unit integrates dedicated analogue voltage and current metering directly into the faceplate. A built-in three-position toggle switch allows you to seamlessly monitor voltage across up to three separate battery banks, ensuring you maintain accurate oversight of your starting, house, and auxiliary reserves.
Key Features and Technical Benefits
- Fully Pre-Wired Bus Architecture: Factory-installed positive, negative, and grounding buses streamline installation and ensure secure, low-resistance electrical connections.
- Integrated Voltage and Amperage Metering: Built-in analogue V/A meters allow real-time tracking of system voltage and current draw to help prevent deep discharging.
- Multi-Bank Monitoring: An integrated toggle switch provides convenient monitoring for up to three individual battery banks from a single location.
- Backlit Circuit Labels: All 13 circuit label positions come backlit as standard with no additional kit required, ensuring clear circuit identification during night navigation or in dark compartments.
- Active Circuit Indicators: Individual "ON" indicating LEDs are installed in every circuit position for immediate visual confirmation of active loads.
- 24V System Upgradability: The standard analogue meter can be upgraded by the owner for 24V applications using compatible 18-32V DC meters (models 8240 or 8243, sold separately).
Engineered for Safety and Low-Light Operation
Operating a vessel at night or troubleshooting power in a dimly lit caravan electrical bay demands clear visual cues. This Blue Sea panel addresses visibility challenges by incorporating factory-installed backlighting across all circuit label positions without requiring complicated aftermarket lighting kits. Paired with bright "ON" indicator LEDs at each breaker position, operators can instantly identify which appliances, pumps, or navigation lights are drawing power, reducing the risk of accidental battery drain.
Using an integrated, pre-wired distribution panel mitigates the risks of loose connections, voltage drop, and electrical shorts often seen in piecemeal DIY setups. The heavy-duty busbars and magnetic-hydraulic circuit breakers provide reliable overcurrent protection and manual switching in a single, unified interface.
Versatile Applications and Future-Proof Design
With 13 distinct circuit positions, this panel accommodates comprehensive DC electrical layouts. It is ideally suited for yachts, cruisers, commercial workboats, 4WD canopy setups, and off-grid expeditions requiring multiple dedicated circuits for refrigeration, lighting, water pumps, and communication gear. While configured out of the box for standard 12V systems, the panel architecture is designed to adapt to changing power requirements. Note that if upgrading the panel for 24V DC operation, the required 8240 or 8243 meters are not included and must be sourced separately.
