Gray 4-position waterproof 12V DC marine switch panel with toggle switches and labels

Blue Sea 12VDC WeatherDeck Waterproof Switch Panel, Gray 4P

DESCRIPTION

Rugged Marine Electrical Control for Exposed Environments

The Blue Sea Systems WeatherDeck 4-Position Switch Panel is engineered specifically for demanding 12V DC applications where standard controls fail. Designed for open-cockpit boats, flybridges, and exposed off-road vehicle dashboards, this grey 4-position panel provides dependable switching in environments subjected to relentless sun, salt spray, and heavy washdowns. Unlike lower-grade alternatives that quickly succumb to UV degradation and moisture ingress, the WeatherDeck series utilises specialised, UV-stabilised materials that resist deterioration and maintain structural integrity over years of harsh exposure.

IP67 Rated Protection Against Water Ingress

Water intrusion is one of the leading causes of marine electrical failure and short circuits. When properly installed with a watertight mounting gasket, the front of this switch panel achieves an IP67 ingress protection rating. This ensures the panel can withstand temporary immersion in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes without compromising the electrical contacts behind the dash. The heavy-duty toggle switches are sealed to prevent salt and moisture from corroding the internal mechanisms, giving you confidence when navigating rough seas or hosing down your deck.

Practical Design and Installation Flexibility

Designed with the installer and end-user in mind, this panel addresses common cockpit frustrations through intelligent physical engineering. The unit can be mounted in four different orientations (vertical or horizontal), allowing you to adapt the layout to tight helm stations or custom dashboard cut-outs. Furthermore, the snap-on faceplate conceals all mounting screws for a clean, professional finish while allowing rapid access to internal components for inspection or maintenance.

  • IP67 Waterproof Rating: Front-panel protection against heavy spray and temporary submersion when correctly gasket-mounted.
  • Integrated Switch Guards: Moulded guards surround each toggle to prevent accidental switching caused by crew movement, snagged lines, or rough water.
  • UV-Stabilised Faceplate: Grey snap-on cover resists fading and embrittlement under intense Australian UV conditions while hiding mounting hardware.
  • Multi-Orientation Mounting: Can be installed in four distinct positions to suit vertical or horizontal console layouts.
  • Customisable Identification: Features dedicated square recesses next to each switch for clear, application-specific labelling.

Important System Integration Notes

To offer maximum flexibility for custom electrical architectures, this specific WeatherDeck model (BS-4305B) is supplied as a dedicated switching interface. Please note that internal backlighting and integrated circuit protection (fuses or circuit breakers) are not included in this panel. This makes it an ideal choice for vessels and vehicles that already utilise a separate, centralised fuse block or digital distribution system, preventing redundant components behind the dash and simplifying wiring runs.

Upgrade Your Helm Station

Eliminate the risk of corroded switches and accidental equipment activation in exposed control areas. Integrate the Blue Sea 12V DC WeatherDeck 4-Position Switch Panel into your marine or off-grid electrical system for long-lasting, weather-resistant control.
