Blue Sea 12V Below-Deck Switch Panel with Socket, Dual USB Ports and Voltmeter

DESCRIPTION

Centralised 12V Power Distribution and Battery Monitoring

Managing auxiliary power in marine vessels, caravans, and off-grid vehicles requires components engineered for safety and reliability. This integrated 12V control panel consolidates essential device charging and real-time system monitoring into a single, compact unit. Designed specifically for interior, below-deck, or cabin installations, it eliminates the clutter of multiple standalone gauges and sockets while providing convenient access to your DC power system.

Prevent Parasitic Battery Drain

A common issue with permanently wired USB chargers and digital voltmeters is the continuous, low-level current they draw even when not actively in use. Over time, this parasitic load can deplete your auxiliary or starter battery, leaving you without power when you need it most. To eliminate this risk, this panel features an integrated, illuminated Carling Technologies 15A circuit-breaker switch. With a single action, you can completely isolate the power to the voltmeter, USB ports, and 12V socket when the vessel or vehicle is in storage, preserving your battery bank's state of charge while simultaneously providing reliable overcurrent protection.

Engineered for Harsh Marine and Off-Grid Environments

Standard automotive switch panels often degrade quickly when exposed to high humidity, salt air, or fluctuating cabin temperatures. The faceplate of this Blue Sea Systems unit is manufactured from heavy-duty polycarbonate/ABS. This advanced material is fully UV-stabilised, flame-retardant, and impervious to corrosion, outperforming standard metal or low-grade plastic alternatives in demanding Australian conditions. Both the 12V DC accessory socket and the dual 2.1A USB charger are equipped with protective flip covers, shielding the internal contacts from dust and incidental moisture when not in use.

Simplified Installation with Pre-Wired Harness

Whether you are fitting out a new boat cabin, upgrading a camper trailer, or building a custom 4WD canopy setup, installation time is minimised thanks to the included pre-wired harness. Instead of crimping and routing individual positive and negative leads for every single module, the factory-installed wiring links the components cleanly behind the faceplate. This significantly reduces the potential for loose connections or voltage drop, allowing for a neat, professional-grade fit-out straight out of the box.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Strict 12V DC System Compatibility: Optimised specifically for 12V battery systems; not suitable for 24V or higher voltage configurations.
  • Integrated 15A Circuit Breaker: Illuminated Carling Technologies switch offers combined overcurrent protection and total system shut-off to prevent parasitic battery drain.
  • Versatile Device Charging: Includes a 2.1A dual USB port module for mobile devices and tablets, alongside a standard 12V DC accessory socket for portable fridges, lighting, or marine electronics.
  • Real-Time Voltage Tracking: The bright digital LED voltmeter allows you to monitor your 12V battery health at a glance, helping to prevent harmful deep discharges.
  • Marine-Grade Construction: Non-corrosive, UV-stabilised, and flame-retardant polycarbonate/ABS faceplate ensures long-term structural integrity.
  • Plug-and-Play Wiring: Supplied with a pre-wired rear harness for fast, secure, and tidy electrical integration.
