Blue Sea 12V 6A DeckHand Light Dimmer with Momentary Switch
Blue Sea 12V 6A DeckHand Light Dimmer with Momentary Switch
0-100% Digital Control for Non-Regulated LEDs with Memory & Exit Delay

DESCRIPTION
Precision Digital Lighting Control for 12V Marine and Off-Grid Systems
Managing cabin, cockpit, or canopy illumination requires more than a simple on/off toggle. The Blue Sea 12V 6A DeckHand Light Dimmer provides seamless, digital brightness adjustment for your onboard lighting circuits. Engineered specifically for demanding marine, RV, and automotive environments, this module offers continuous voltage control from 0% to 100% of the input voltage. Whether you need full illumination for workspace tasks or low-level ambient lighting to preserve night vision at the helm, this 12V dimmer delivers smooth, flicker-free performance while reducing parasitic power draw on your auxiliary battery bank.
Intelligent Memory and Illuminated Exit Delay
Unlike standard rotary rheostats that waste energy as heat and require manual readjustment every time they are switched on, the DeckHand utilises efficient digital control. It features a built-in memory function that automatically recalls your last brightness setting upon activation, eliminating the need to reset your preferred lighting levels repeatedly.
For enhanced safety when vacating a dark vessel, caravan, or service body, the unit incorporates an illuminated exit feature with an adjustable time delay. This allows your lights to remain on for a set duration after you trigger the switch, providing safe visibility as you exit before automatically shutting down to conserve battery capacity.
Key Features and System Benefits
- Broad Lighting Compatibility: Digitally controls non-regulated 12V LED, incandescent, and halogen lighting circuits up to a 6A maximum load.
- Continuous 0% to 100% Adjustment: Delivers precise dimming control to suit any environment while reducing energy consumption when full output is unnecessary.
- Last-Setting Memory Recall: Retains your preferred brightness level between uses for effortless, consistent operation.
- Adjustable Exit Delay: Keeps pathways illuminated temporarily after switching off, improving safety in dark marine or off-grid environments.
- Thermal Management: Built with an integrated heat sink and cooling fins to ensure reliable electronic operation under continuous 6A loads.
- Space-Saving Installation: Designed with offset mounting tabs so multiple dimmer modules can be installed close together for clean, multi-zone lighting setups.
- Complete Retail Package: Supplied with a dedicated momentary (ON)-OFF-(ON) rocker switch and pre-wired multi-strand pigtail harness for straightforward integration.
Engineered for Multi-Zone Installations
When wiring complex 12V electrical panels in boats, camper trailers, or 4WD canopies, space behind the dash or switchboard is often limited. The DeckHand module addresses this challenge with offset mounting tabs, allowing multiple units to be nested closely side-by-side for organised multi-zone lighting control. Its integrated cooling fins manage thermal dissipation effectively, mitigating the risk of overheating in enclosed electrical lockers compared to lower-grade alternatives.
Please note: This unit is designed specifically for non-regulated 12V LEDs, incandescent, and halogen bulbs. It is not compatible with Constant Current (regulated) LED fixtures that contain their own internal voltage regulation circuitry.
Upgrade Your 12V Lighting Control
Take full command of your cabin, deck, or canopy illumination with reliable, marine-grade hardware. Add the Blue Sea 12V 6A DeckHand Light Dimmer to your setup today for tailored lighting control and improved battery efficiency.
