Blue Sea 12V 25A DeckHand Dimmer
Blue Sea 12V 25A DeckHand Dimmer
0-100% Digital Control with Memory, Exit Delay & Momentary Switch

DESCRIPTION
Precision Digital Lighting Control for 12V Marine and Off-Grid Systems
Managing cabin, deck, and canopy lighting requires a control solution that balances power handling with smooth operation. The Blue Sea Systems 7508B DeckHand Dimmer provides seamless digital control for your 12V lighting circuits, accommodating loads up to a substantial 25A capacity. Designed for demanding marine, caravan, and automotive environments, this module delivers continuous voltage regulation from 0% to 100% of the input voltage. Whether you need full illumination for deck work or low-level lighting to preserve night vision at the helm, the DeckHand Dimmer ensures smooth transitions without the harsh steps found in basic rotary controllers.
Engineered for High-Current Thermal Efficiency and Longevity
Inferior dimming switches often suffer from severe heat build-up, audible buzzing, and premature failure when subjected to heavy loads. The DeckHand Dimmer overcomes these common issues through intelligent digital regulation and a heavy-duty construction. Featuring a finned housing that acts as an integrated heat sink, the unit provides efficient thermal dissipation during sustained high-current operation. By actively managing voltage output, it also helps reduce overall battery draw and extends the operational lifespan of your light fittings.
Key Features and Benefits
- Continuous 0-100% Voltage Control: Digitally adjusts lighting intensity across the entire voltage range for smooth, flicker-free dimming.
- Versatile Lighting Compatibility: Engineered to control non-regulated LED, incandescent, and halogen light arrays up to 25A.
- Last-Setting Memory: Automatically retains your preferred brightness level when powered down, eliminating the need to readjust your lights every time you switch them on.
- Illuminated Exit Delay: Features an adjustable time delay that keeps lights active momentarily after shutting down the circuit, providing safe passage out of dark cabins, boats, or campers.
- Space-Saving Installation: Built with offset mounting tabs that allow multiple dimmer modules to be installed closely together on crowded electrical panels.
- Complete Retail Package: Supplied with a dedicated momentary (ON)-OFF-(ON) rocker switch and pre-wired, colour-coded leads for straightforward integration into your 12V DC setup.
Important Compatibility and Installation Considerations
To ensure optimal performance and avoid circuit incompatibilities, please note that this unit is specifically designed for non-regulated 12V LEDs, alongside standard halogen and incandescent bulbs. It is not suitable for constant-current or internally voltage-regulated LED fixtures, as their internal drivers will resist voltage-based dimming. The included momentary rocker switch allows intuitive manual control over bright and dim settings, while the offset tabs make multi-zone lighting management neat and accessible behind the dash or in a dedicated electrical locker.
Upgrade Your 12V Lighting Setup
Enhance the comfort, safety, and energy efficiency of your vessel, caravan, or 4WD canopy. Integrate the Blue Sea 12V 25A DeckHand Dimmer into your electrical system today for dependable, professional-grade illumination control.
