Blue Sea 12V 15A 4 Position Below Deck Circuit Breaker Panel

DESCRIPTION

Compact 12V DC Circuit Protection and Control for Marine and Off-Grid Systems

Managing multiple electrical circuits in confined spaces requires hardware that combines structural durability with reliable overcurrent protection. This 4-position below deck circuit breaker panel from Blue Sea Systems provides centralised switching and circuit protection for 12V DC electrical installations. Designed specifically for environments where mounting depth is restricted, its low-profile architecture fits seamlessly into tight marine consoles, caravan control cabinetry, and custom 4WD canopies.

Integrated Switching and Circuit Protection

Rather than wiring separate fuse blocks and switch panels, this unit integrates four Carling Technologies 15A rocker circuit breakers into a single module. Combining switching and circuit protection reduces the number of connection points in your system, which lowers the risk of voltage drop and loose terminals caused by vessel or vehicle vibration. Each switch features an illuminated red LED indicator when in the ON position, allowing operators to verify active circuits at a glance in low-light cabins or night navigation conditions.

Engineered for Harsh Environments

Standard residential or basic automotive switch panels often degrade when exposed to moisture, temperature fluctuations, and coastal air. The face of this panel is injection-moulded from a heavy-duty polycarbonate and ABS blend. This material is flame-retardant, UV-stabilised, and will not corrode when exposed to salt air. While intended for below-deck or interior cabin mounting where direct water spray is avoided, the corrosion-resistant materials ensure long-term structural integrity in humid marine and off-grid environments.

Streamlined Wiring and Installation

Installing multi-circuit panels in cramped quarters can quickly result in tangled wiring looms. To simplify installation and maintenance, this panel features a pre-installed quick-connect bus that eliminates complex daisy-chaining. Power delivery is achieved through a straightforward two-wire connection secured directly to the bus bars using M5 (#10) ring terminals, while individual accessory loads attach via standard 1/4" (approx. 6.35mm) male quick-connect terminals.

  • Dual-Function Breakers: Four 15A Carling Technologies magnetic circuit breakers provide combined switching and accurate overcurrent protection.
  • Low-Profile Footprint: Shallow 44.45mm mounting depth suits tight bulkheads, dashboards, and shallow electrical enclosures.
  • Durable Enclosure Face: Moulded polycarbonate/ABS surface resists UV degradation, corrosion, and flame.
  • Simplified Harnessing: Pre-wired bus bar architecture requires a simple two-wire power feed via M5 (#10) ring terminals.
  • Clear Identification: Illuminated red ON indicators paired with recessed slots and 15 square-format replaceable circuit labels.
  • Complete Mounting Kit: Supplied with #6 x 5/8" (approx. 3.5mm x 16mm) stainless steel mounting screws for secure installation.

Applications Across Marine, RV, and Mobile Setups

Whether you are refitting a boat cabin, wiring a camper trailer, or building an auxiliary 12V distribution board for a service vehicle, this panel delivers organised and dependable power management. It is well suited for controlling cabin lighting, bilge pumps, navigation electronics, water pumps, and 12V refrigeration units.

Upgrade your 12V DC electrical distribution with the Blue Sea 4-Position Below Deck Circuit Breaker Panel for a cleaner, safer, and more reliable installation.
