Blue Sea 12/24VDC 8 Position Circuit Breaker Switch Panel - Black
IP66 Weatherproof Front - Contura LED Switches - Ignition Protected

DESCRIPTION
Weatherproof Marine Electrical Distribution for Open Cockpits and Flybridges
Managing multiple electrical circuits in exposed marine environments requires equipment engineered to withstand constant moisture, salt spray, and vibration. The Blue Sea Systems 8371B 8-Position Circuit Breaker Switch Panel provides a consolidated, weatherproof solution for 12V DC and 24V DC electrical systems. Designed specifically for open cockpit boats, flybridges, and exposed helms, this heavy-duty marine switch panel combines circuit switching and overcurrent protection into a single, streamlined unit.
Standard automotive or interior-grade switch panels quickly succumb to corrosion and water ingress when exposed to the elements, leading to electrical failures and potential safety hazards at sea. This Blue Sea panel mitigates those risks with an IP66-rated front face, offering robust protection against powerful water jets and heavy seas. A dedicated watertight mounting gasket seals the panel directly against the console or bulkhead, preventing water from leaking behind the dash and damaging sensitive marine electronics or wiring harnesses.
Engineered for Harsh Marine Conditions and Safety
Safety is critical on any vessel, particularly those powered by petrol engines where fuel vapours may be present. This 8-gang switch panel is fully ignition protected, meaning it will not ignite surrounding flammable gases under normal operating or fault conditions. This makes it safe for installation aboard petrol-powered boats, ski boats, and tenders.
Each of the eight circuits is controlled by a durable ON-OFF Contura rocker switch. These switches are built to handle extreme temperatures, vibration, and thermal shock. Embedded within each rocker switch is a bright ON-indicating LED, providing immediate visual confirmation of active circuits during night navigation or low-light conditions. Above the switches, customisable labels allow for clear identification of bilge pumps, navigation lights, fishfinders, and other vital accessories.
Integrated Overcurrent Protection
Rather than relying on separate fuse blocks that require carrying spare fuses on board, this panel integrates push-button reset-only circuit breakers directly alongside each switch. If an overload occurs, the breaker trips to protect the wiring and connected appliance, and can be easily reset once the fault is cleared. Each breaker is fitted with a protective silicone waterproof boot to shield the internal mechanism from salt buildup and moisture ingress.
Key Features and Benefits
- IP66 Weatherproof Front: Engineered to withstand powerful water jets, heavy spray, and washdowns in exposed marine locations.
- Watertight Mounting Gasket: Creates a reliable seal against the mounting surface to prevent water intrusion behind the helm.
- Ignition Protected: Certified safe for installation in spaces where petrol fumes may accumulate, ideal for inboard and outboard petrol vessels.
- Heavy-Duty Contura Switches: Eight ON-OFF rocker switches with integrated LED indicators for clear status monitoring in all lighting conditions.
- Push-Button Circuit Breakers: Reset-only thermal breakers encased in waterproof silicone boots eliminate the need for replacement fuses.
- Dual Voltage Compatibility: Seamlessly supports both 12V DC and 24V DC marine and off-grid electrical architectures.
Versatile Applications
While purpose-built for marine environments, the rugged construction of the Blue Sea 8-position panel makes it equally suitable for demanding off-road and industrial applications:
- Centre console fishing boats, walkarounds, and RIBs
- Yacht flybridges and exterior control stations
- Petrol-powered ski boats, wakeboard boats, and runabouts
- 4WD canopy setups, camper trailers, and exposed utility vehicles
Upgrade Your Helm's Electrical Reliability
Protect your vessel's critical electronics from the elements and simplify your dashboard wiring. Integrate the Blue Sea 8-Position Watertight Switch Panel into your 12V DC or 24V DC system for dependable circuit control on the water.
