Blue Sea 10A A-Series Double Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker - White
Blue Sea 10A A-Series Double Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker - White
Magnetic-Hydraulic Protection & Trip-Free Switching for Panels

DESCRIPTION
Magnetic-Hydraulic Circuit Protection and Switching for Electrical Panels
The Blue Sea A-Series 10A Double-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker delivers reliable overcurrent protection and intuitive manual switching in a single, compact device. Engineered specifically for Blue Sea Systems electrical panels and custom distribution boards, this breaker is built to meet the rigorous demands of marine, caravan, RV, and off-grid electrical architectures. By combining switching and protection, it streamlines panel layouts and eliminates the need for separate fuse holders and toggle switches.
Advanced Magnetic-Hydraulic Technology
Unlike standard thermal circuit breakers that rely on heat-sensitive bimetallic strips, the A-Series utilises a precision magnetic-hydraulic mechanism. Standard thermal breakers can suffer from nuisance tripping when installed in hot engine bays, enclosed electrical cabinets, or under the harsh Australian sun. Because magnetic-hydraulic operation is driven by the magnetic field generated by the current itself rather than ambient temperature, this 10A circuit breaker maintains a consistent trip curve and reliable current carrying capacity across fluctuating environmental conditions.
Simultaneous Double-Pole Isolation
Equipped with mechanically linked white toggle handles, this double-pole circuit breaker provides simultaneous switching and tripping of both poles. In AC electrical systems, this is critical for safely isolating both the active and neutral conductors at the same time. In DC applications, it allows for the complete isolation of both positive and negative lines, or the simultaneous protection of two related branch circuits. If an overcurrent fault occurs on either pole, the internal linkage ensures both poles trip together, completely de-energising the circuit to reduce the risk of electrical hazards during maintenance or fault finding.
Key Features and Benefits
- Trip-Free Design: The internal mechanism cannot be manually held in the ON position during a fault-current condition, preventing equipment damage and reducing fire risks.
- Dual Functionality: Combines heavy-duty switching and precision overcurrent protection in one compact housing to save valuable panel space.
- Linked White Actuators: Provides clear visual indication of circuit status and simultaneous two-pole isolation with a clean, high-visibility finish.
- Brass Threaded Inserts: Integrated brass mounting inserts allow for secure, vibration-resistant front panel installation in mobile and marine environments.
- Temperature Stable Operation: Magnetic-hydraulic design resists nuisance tripping in high-temperature enclosures and marine engine rooms.
- Clear Identification: Features a front-facing 10A rating stamp and a comprehensive side-mounted specification label for straightforward compliance checks and wiring verification.
Engineered for Harsh Marine and Mobile Environments
Electrical components in boats, 4WDs, and off-grid setups are constantly exposed to vibration, moisture, and temperature extremes. Inferior protection devices can corrode or fail to trip accurately when needed most. The robust A-Series enclosure and corrosion-resistant brass mounting hardware are specifically selected to withstand coastal and mobile conditions, ensuring long-term mechanical and electrical integrity.
Ideal Applications
- Marine AC and DC main or branch circuit distribution panels
- Caravan, camper trailer, and motorhome electrical switchboards
- Off-grid solar and battery storage distribution enclosures
- Custom 12V, 24V, and AC control panels requiring simultaneous two-pole disconnect
