Blue Sea 100A Water-Resistant Busbar
Blue Sea 100A Water-Resistant Busbar
Tin-Plated Copper Bus with Snap-On Cover, Wire Plugs & Circuit Labels

DESCRIPTION
Reliable Power Distribution and Grounding for Harsh Environments
Engineered for demanding marine, automotive, and off-grid electrical systems, the Blue Sea 100A Water-Resistant Busbar provides a secure and insulated connection point for your wiring architecture. Operating in damp or exposed locations poses a severe risk of terminal corrosion, voltage drop, and eventual system failure when using unsealed distribution blocks. This unit addresses those vulnerabilities directly by housing the terminal connections within a protective enclosure that shields internal components from moisture, salt spray, and accidental short circuits.
Designed to meet stringent ABYC and USCG insulation requirements, this busbar is equally effective for managing positive power distribution or consolidating negative return and AC ground circuits. Its robust construction ensures your critical 12V, 24V, or AC wiring remains organised, accessible, and protected against environmental ingress.
High-Conductivity Tin-Plated Copper Architecture
At the core of the busbar is a high-conductivity, tin-plated copper bus. While standard bare brass or unplated copper terminals rapidly oxidise in coastal and marine environments, tin-plated copper offers superior resistance to galvanic corrosion while maintaining minimal electrical resistance. This reduces the risk of heat build-up under high loads up to 100A and ensures consistent power delivery to your connected equipment.
Installation is straightforward and does not require specialised crimping equipment. The terminal screws and bus structure are designed to accept standard ring or spade terminals across a wide range of wire gauges, allowing you to terminate cables using standard tools.
Key Features and System Benefits
- Moisture Protection: Includes a transparent snap-on cover and integral wire gaskets that protect internal connections from spray and dampness while allowing visual inspection.
- Maintained Ingress Rating: Supplied with three dedicated wire plugs to seal unused entry ports, maintaining the water-resistant integrity when fewer than four cables are terminated.
- Corrosion-Resistant Conductors: Tin-plated copper busses and clips ensure maximum conductivity and longevity in high-humidity or salt-laden air.
- Modular Nesting Capability: Engineered to physically nest with other Blue Sea Water-Resistant 100A Common BusBars and ST-Blade Water-Resistant Fuse Blocks (sold separately) to create a compact, unified power distribution panel.
- Clear Circuit Identification: Supplied with four write-on circuit labels that fit directly into the cover, simplifying future troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Secure Mounting: Integrated mounting flanges allow for rigid installation onto flat bulkheads, walls, or electrical boards.
Space-Saving Modular Integration
Space is often limited inside boat consoles, 4WD canopies, and caravan electrical cabinets. The housing of this busbar is contoured to nest directly alongside compatible Blue Sea water-resistant components. By interlocking your positive distribution, negative collection, and fuse blocks together, you can significantly reduce the overall footprint of your wiring harness, shorten cable runs, and achieve a clean, professional installation.
Please note that compatible nesting fuse blocks, additional busbars, and small-format custom labels are separate products and are not included with this unit.
Upgrade Your Electrical Distribution
Eliminate exposed terminals and unreliable ground connections in your vessel or vehicle. Integrate the Blue Sea 100A Water-Resistant Busbar into your electrical setup today for compliant, corrosion-resistant circuit management.
