Blue Sea 100A ANL Fuse
Blue Sea 100A ANL Fuse
Tin-Plated Copper Terminals & Clear Inspection Window for DC Circuits

DESCRIPTION
Heavy-Duty 100A Overcurrent Protection for Marine, 4WD, and Off-Grid DC Systems
The Blue Sea 100A ANL Fuse provides dependable, fast-acting circuit protection for high-amperage DC electrical architectures. Engineered for demanding automotive, marine, and off-grid power installations, this fuse safeguards critical main branch circuits, battery banks, DC-DC chargers, and power inverters against dangerous short circuits and sustained current overloads.
In high-current 12V, 24V, and 48V power distribution setups, selecting high-grade circuit protection is essential to prevent catastrophic cable thermal damage and equipment failure. Unlike unbranded alternatives that can suffer from inconsistent trip curves, voltage drop, or premature mechanical failure under vibration, Blue Sea Systems components are built to strict industry standards. This ensures predictable thermal break performance when your electrical system needs it most.
Engineered for Harsh Environments and High Conductivity
Moisture, salt spray, and ambient heat are major threats to electrical integrity in marine vessels, 4WDs, and caravans. To combat these elements, this 100A ANL fuse features tin-plated copper alloy terminal blades. The tin plating resists oxidation and surface corrosion in coastal and humid conditions, while the underlying copper alloy ensures maximum electrical conductivity. This minimises resistance and prevents excessive heat generation at the fuse block terminals during continuous load operation.
The fuse element is housed within a durable, mica-reinforced fibreglass body designed to withstand high operating temperatures and mechanical stress. For rapid troubleshooting in the field, a clear central viewing window gives immediate visual confirmation of the fuse status, allowing you to identify a blown link without removing the fuse from its holder.
Key Features and Benefits
- 100A Current Rating: Tailored for protecting heavy-gauge primary cabling, auxiliary battery feeds, and high-draw DC appliances.
- Tin-Plated Copper Alloy Terminals: Delivers superior conductivity with low contact resistance while resisting corrosion in harsh marine and off-grid environments.
- Mica-Reinforced Fibreglass Housing: Provides exceptional thermal stability and structural durability under heavy electrical loads.
- Central Inspection Window: Enables quick, clear visual verification of the fusible link status for straightforward diagnostics.
- Standard ANL Footprint: Drops directly into compatible ANL fuse blocks and heavy-duty distribution hubs for secure bolt-down installation.
Typical Applications in Mobile and Off-Grid Power
Because ANL fuses offer a reliable balance of compact physical size and high interrupt capability, the 100A rating is widely used across various custom electrical builds:
- Dual Battery and 4WD Setups: Protecting primary interconnects between starter and auxiliary batteries or safeguarding high-output DC-DC chargers.
- Caravan and RV Electrical Systems: Securing main positive feeds to power distribution panels, medium-sized inverters, and heavy-duty 12V or 24V appliances.
- Marine Power Distribution: Providing corrosion-resistant overcurrent protection for boat house battery banks, windlasses, and bow thrusters.
- Off-Grid Solar Installations: Acting as reliable circuit protection between solar charge controllers and battery storage banks.
Secure Your High-Current Electrical Circuits
Note that a compatible ANL fuse holder or distribution block is required for installation and is sold separately. Pair the Blue Sea 100A ANL Fuse with a quality heavy-duty ANL fuse block today to build a safer, more resilient DC power system for your vehicle, vessel, or off-grid setup.
