Blue Sea 100A AC C-Series Double-Pole Flat Rocker Circuit Breaker
Blue Sea 100A AC C-Series Double-Pole Flat Rocker Circuit Breaker
Trip-Free Overcurrent Protection & Switching - 5/16" (M8) Studs

DESCRIPTION
Combined Manual Switching and Heavy-Duty Overcurrent Protection
Managing high-current electrical systems in marine, caravan, and off-grid setups requires components that offer uncompromising safety and operational reliability. The Blue Sea C-Series 100A circuit breaker integrates manual on/off switching with robust overcurrent protection in a single compact unit. By consolidating these functions, it simplifies switchboard wiring, reduces the number of failure-prone connection points, and saves valuable space in tight distribution panels.
Engineered specifically for demanding loads, this double-pole circuit breaker is ideally suited for isolating and protecting power inverters, bow thrusters, and electric windlasses. When installed in AC systems, the two-pole configuration allows simultaneous disconnection of dual conductors, ensuring thorough circuit isolation during maintenance or fault conditions.
Ergonomic Flat Rocker and Trip-Free Safety
Accidental circuit disconnection in rough seas or over corrugated outback tracks can disrupt critical power supplies. This unit features a specialised flat rocker actuator that sits completely flush with the mounting bezel when in the ON position. This low-profile design significantly reduces the risk of snagging gear or inadvertently bumping the switch off in high-traffic areas. For immediate visual verification, a contrasting colour on the actuator clearly indicates when the breaker is switched to the OFF position.
To prevent catastrophic wire damage or electrical fires, the internal mechanism utilises a trip-free design. In the event of a sustained overload or short circuit, the breaker will trip internally even if the rocker actuator is physically held or jammed in the ON position. This ensures the circuit remains safely disconnected until the underlying fault is resolved.
- Dual Functionality: Combines heavy-duty manual on/off switching with automatic 100A overcurrent protection.
- Flush-Mount Rocker: Sits flat when engaged in the ON position to prevent accidental switching.
- Trip-Free Mechanism: Cannot be manually held closed during an active electrical fault, prioritising system safety.
- High-Current Terminals: Paralleled poles feature robust 5/16" (approx. M8 or 7.9mm) stud terminals on the bus to accommodate heavy-duty cable lugs.
- Secure Installation: Equipped with threaded brass mounting inserts for dependable, vibration-resistant panel installation.
- Clear Visual Status: Distinct colour-coded actuator provides instant confirmation of the OFF state.
Engineered for High-Vibration Environments
Unlike standard domestic breakers that can suffer from nuisance tripping or terminal degradation in mobile environments, the Blue Sea Systems C-Series is built to withstand harsh marine and automotive conditions. The heavy-duty 5/16" (approx. M8) stud terminals provide ample surface area for large gauge battery and inverter cables, minimising voltage drop and preventing dangerous heat build-up at the terminal interface. Integrated threaded brass inserts ensure the breaker remains firmly secured to your distribution panel, resisting the constant vibration and shock encountered on vessels and off-road vehicles.
