Blue Sea 0-60V 500A DC Digital Multi-Function Meter with Shunt

DESCRIPTION

Comprehensive DC Voltage and Current Monitoring for Marine, Caravan, and Off-Grid Systems

Maintaining an accurate overview of your electrical system is essential for preventing battery damage and unexpected power loss. The Blue Sea DC Digital Multi-Function Meter provides real-time diagnostics for 12V, 24V, and 48V battery banks by tracking both voltage and amperage on a single, compact gauge. Capable of monitoring DC voltage from 0V to 60V in fine 0.01V increments alongside bidirectional current flow from -500A to +500A, this unit offers the high-resolution data needed to manage charging sources and heavy DC loads effectively.

Proactive System Protection and Customisable Alarms

Standard analogue gauges often lack the precision required to detect subtle voltage drops or parasitic drains before they become critical issues. This digital multimeter mitigates the risk of deep discharge and over-voltage scenarios through integrated audio and visual alarms. Users can configure high and low voltage thresholds to receive immediate alerts when battery parameters step outside safe operating limits, protecting sensitive electronics and extending battery lifespan.

Designed for Harsh Environments and Low Power Consumption

Engineered to meet rigorous marine and automotive standards, the unit features a splashproof front faceplate that resists water spray in exposed cockpits, 4WD dashboards, or caravan control panels. The bright LED display features three adjustable brightness levels to ensure clear visibility in direct sunlight without causing night-time glare. To prevent parasitic draw on your auxiliary batteries during storage or periods of inactivity, a programmable sleep mode automatically blanks the display for maximum power conservation.

  • Dual-Function Diagnostics: Monitors bidirectional DC current (-500A to +500A) and system voltage (0V to 60V) with 0.01V resolution
  • Configurable Alerts: Programmable high and low voltage alarms provide both audible and visual warnings
  • Power Saving Display: Three adjustable brightness settings with an automatic sleep mode to minimise parasitic battery drain
  • Durable Construction: Splashproof front face and secure threaded panel mount housing suitable for marine and mobile installations
  • Ready for Installation: Supplied with an external 500A current shunt for accurate load and charge tracking

Streamlined Panel Mounting and Shunt Integration

The gauge features a rear threaded body with a large locking nut, allowing for secure installation into standard circular panel cutouts. The package includes a heavy-duty 500A shunt to measure high-amperage charging and discharging cycles accurately. As standard, the meter is designed to operate on the negative side of the circuit. Please note that if your system architecture requires positive-side installation, a separate Blue Sea Shunt Shifter is required to complete the setup.

Applications Across Mobile and Off-Grid Power

With a wide operating range up to 60V, this multi-function meter is versatile enough for a wide variety of DC power architectures:

  • Marine Vessels: Monitor house and start battery banks, alternators, and windlass loads in damp environments
  • Caravans and RVs: Track solar charging inputs alongside inverter and appliance draw in 12V or 24V touring setups
  • Off-Grid Solar Systems: Keep a precise eye on 48V stationary battery storage and charge controller performance
  • Commercial and Emergency Vehicles: Ensure auxiliary power systems remain within operational parameters during heavy equipment use

Upgrade Your Electrical Monitoring Setup

Eliminate guesswork from your power management routine. Integrate the Blue Sea DC Digital Multi-Function Meter into your control panel today for precise, reliable visibility over your system's voltage and current performance.
