Blue Sea 0-250VAC Micro Voltmeter
Blue Sea 0-250VAC Micro Voltmeter
Blue Sea Systems 2 Inch (50.8mm) Analogue Panel Gauge - ±2.5% Accuracy

DESCRIPTION
Blue Sea Systems Compact Analogue AC Voltage Monitoring
Maintaining stable alternating current is critical for the longevity and safety of your onboard or off-grid appliances. The Blue Sea Systems 8245B provides continuous, real-time tracking of your electrical system's potential from 0V to 250V AC. Whether you are managing a 230V or 240V AC shore power connection, monitoring an onboard generator, or keeping an eye on inverter output in a caravan or marine vessel, this compact analogue gauge delivers reliable visibility at a glance.
Designed for seamless integration into custom switchboards and tight dashboard spaces, this micro-sized panel meter features a 2 inch (50.8mm) face. Its clear, high-contrast dial and precision black needle pointer allow operators to instantly identify voltage fluctuations, brownouts, or surges before they can cause damage to sensitive AC compressors, battery chargers, or household appliances.
Key Features and Benefits
- Broad 0V to 250V AC Scale: Ideal for standard Australian 230V and 240V AC systems, as well as international 110V or 120V AC shore power and generator inputs.
- Compact 2 Inch (50.8mm) Footprint: Maximises panel space in crowded marine helms, RV control panels, and industrial enclosures without sacrificing legibility.
- Manual Zero-Point Calibration: Equipped with a front-accessible mechanical adjustment screw, allowing you to fine-tune the resting needle position for ongoing precision.
- Instant Analogue Response: Unlike digital displays that can lag or become difficult to read in direct sunlight or during rapid fluctuations, the physical needle provides immediate visual feedback on system stability.
- Marine-Grade Reliability: Manufactured by Blue Sea Systems to withstand the vibrations and environmental demands typical of mobile, marine, and off-grid installations.
Why Choose a Dedicated Analogue AC Meter?
In demanding mobile and marine environments, electrical systems are frequently subjected to variable loads and inconsistent power sources, such as long shore power leads at caravan parks or marinas. A drop in AC voltage can cause induction motors in air conditioners and refrigerators to draw excessive current, leading to overheating and premature failure. Conversely, voltage spikes from unregulated generators can damage sensitive electronics.
Installing a dedicated Blue Sea Systems analogue voltmeter reduces these risks by providing a permanent, unpowered visual check of your AC bus. Because the movement is mechanically driven by the sensed voltage, it requires no separate DC auxiliary power supply to operate the display. This simplifies wiring behind the panel and reduces parasitic draw on your house battery bank. Furthermore, the front-mounted zero adjustment screw ensures that if mechanical vibration ever shifts the pointer over years of travel, recalibration takes only seconds with a standard screwdriver.
Ideal Applications
This micro AC voltmeter is engineered for system builders, marine electricians, and DIY enthusiasts requiring dependable AC system oversight across various setups:
- Marine Vessels: Monitor shore power input stability, isolation transformer output, and onboard AC diesel generators.
- Caravans, Motorhomes, and RVs: Track 240V AC mains hookups at campsites or verify the output of high-capacity pure sine wave inverters.
- Off-Grid Cabins and Tiny Homes: Keep a permanent eye on backup generator performance and inverter load stability on your main AC distribution board.
- Mobile Workstations and Service Trucks: Verify power tool and equipment supply voltage from vehicle-mounted inverters or portable generators.
Upgrade Your AC Panel Visibility
Protect your high-value AC appliances and ensure your power distribution system operates within safe parameters. Integrate the Blue Sea Systems Micro AC Voltmeter into your control panel today for dependable, real-time voltage monitoring across all your marine and off-grid applications.
