Blue Sea 0-250VAC DIN Voltmeter
Blue Sea 0-250VAC DIN Voltmeter
72mm European Design - 12V/24V DC Backlit Dial & Safety Terminal Cover

DESCRIPTION
Precision 72mm Analog AC Voltmeter for Marine and Off-Grid Switchboards
High-Contrast Voltage Monitoring for 0-250V AC Electrical Systems
Accurate voltage monitoring is critical when managing alternating current on marine vessels, motorhomes, or off-grid installations. The Blue Sea Systems DIN VMtr AC 0–250V provides clear, real-time tracking of your AC power supply, whether you are connected to shore power, running an onboard generator, or drawing from a 230V AC inverter. Built to a standard European 72mm DIN specification, this square analog voltmeter integrates cleanly into custom switchboards and power distribution panels.
Unlike inferior, unbranded meters that can suffer from sticky needles, high parasitic power draw, or poor visibility, this professional-grade panel meter is engineered for longevity and instant legibility. The durable black textured bezel offers a clean flush-mount installation, while a convenient front-access calibration screw allows for simple zero-adjustment to maintain reading accuracy over time.
Engineered for Readability and Electrical Safety
Electrical panels are often located in dimly lit companionways, engine rooms, or under-bunk compartments. To ensure effortless monitoring in any lighting condition, this AC voltmeter features a glare-free white matte dial with a sharply printed black scale and a precision knife-edge pointer. For night operation, the meter face includes integrated backlighting with separate 12V DC and 24V DC connections. Drawing a minimal 16mA at 12V DC, it illuminates your critical system data without placing unnecessary load on your auxiliary battery bank.
Working with up to 250V AC requires strict adherence to safety protocols. Behind the panel, where wiring density is often high, exposed AC terminals present a significant hazard. To mitigate the risk of accidental short circuits or inadvertent contact during panel maintenance, this unit includes a dedicated rear terminal cover, providing peace of mind in mobile and high-vibration environments.
Key Features and Benefits
- Standard European 72mm DIN Footprint: Designed for straightforward, flush-mount integration into standard marine and industrial AC distribution panels.
- High-Contrast Analog Display: Features a matte white dial, crisp black markings, and a knife-edge indicator needle for precise, at-a-glance voltage readings.
- Dual-Voltage Backlighting: Equipped with separate connections for 12V DC or 24V DC systems, ensuring clear visibility in dark cabins or utility spaces.
- Enhanced Rear Safety: Supplied with an insulating terminal cover to protect the 2-wire AC hot and neutral connections from accidental short circuits.
- Front-Access Calibration: Includes an accessible zero-adjustment screw on the bezel face to keep the needle accurately calibrated.
Ideal Applications
This 0-250V AC panel meter is ideally suited for 230V and 240V AC Australian and European power architectures, as well as international multi-voltage setups. Common applications include:
- Monitoring incoming shore power voltage on yachts, cruisers, and commercial vessels to prevent brownout damage to appliances.
- Tracking AC output from onboard marine or RV generators.
- Verifying stable voltage delivery from off-grid inverters in caravans, campervans, and remote cabins.
- Upgrading or building custom AC electrical switchboards requiring reliable, continuous analog metering.
