DESCRIPTION
Victron MIDI Fuse 100A/58V: Precision Circuit Protection for 48V DC Systems
Engineered for Reliable Overcurrent Protection in Demanding Environments
The Victron MIDI fuse 100A/58V delivers robust overcurrent protection for 48V DC electrical systems, safeguarding sensitive electronics and power distribution components from damage caused by short circuits or overloads. Designed to meet the rigorous demands of off-grid solar installations, marine electrical panels, and vehicle-based power systems, this fuse provides a critical layer of defence that helps prevent costly downtime and equipment failure.
Unlike generic automotive fuses that may struggle with sustained DC loads or exhibit inconsistent trip characteristics, the Victron MIDI fuse is purpose-built for low-voltage DC applications up to 58V. Its precise, time-current melting curve ensures predictable interruption of fault currents, reducing the risk of nuisance blowing while maintaining fast response to genuine overcurrent events. This reliability is essential in systems where battery banks, inverters, and charge controllers must operate continuously without interruption.
Low Voltage Drop for Maximum System Efficiency
Every millivolt lost across a fuse translates to wasted energy and reduced performance in a DC system. The Victron MIDI fuse 100A/58V features an exceptionally low voltage drop of 70 mV at rated current, minimising power dissipation and heat generation. This not only improves overall system efficiency but also reduces thermal stress on surrounding components, contributing to longer service life for your entire electrical installation.
The fuse's low cold resistance of 0.45 mΩ further enhances its performance, ensuring that it introduces minimal impedance into the circuit under normal operating conditions. This is particularly beneficial in solar charging systems where every watt of harvested energy counts, and in inverter circuits where voltage sag can impact appliance performance.
Compact, Standardised Form Factor for Easy Integration
With its industry-standard MIDI footprint, this fuse integrates seamlessly into Victron fuse holders and distribution blocks, as well as many third-party solutions. The compact dimensions allow for high-density mounting in electrical enclosures, making it ideal for space-constrained installations such as camper trailers, 4WD dual-battery setups, and marine switchboards.
Standardised M5 mounting holes (approx. 5 mm diameter) ensure secure, low-resistance connections when paired with appropriate ring terminals. The tin-plated copper terminals resist corrosion, maintaining reliable conductivity even in humid or salt-laden environments.

Direct Customers
Victron Energy provides the following warranty to any direct customer (OEM, distributor or dealer) in relation to any products that Victron Energy has directly sold to the direct customer. This warranty is not an end-user warranty between Victron Energy and an end-user, and end-users shall not have any rights or remedies under this limited warranty towards Victron Energy directly. The direct customer shall, in turn, ensure that the end-user is provided with a warranty identical to this warranty, subject to applicable local mandatory law.
End-Users
Victron Energy may also provide a warranty directly to end-users, in which case the below warranty conditions equally apply to such warranty. In that case, end-users shall claim their warranty at their place of purchase or through the original direct customer of Victron, which can be found through the support section on Victron’s website https://www.victronenergy.com/support. Hence, the direct customer shall on behalf of Victron Energy deal with any warranty claims made under any warranty that Victron Energy may provide directly to end-users.
