Our commitment to quality and using the latest technology continues with our current manufacturing run utilising a film of ETFE on the surface.
Ethylene-Tetra-Fluoro-Ethylene (referred to ETFE) is made from an artificial high-strength fluorine polymer, which is corrosion resistant, highly stain resistant, highly elastic, is easy-to-clean, has high light transmittance, and boasts long service life. The film is transparent and very lightweight with a thickness of only 0.5 millimeter. It will not discolour or degrade from exposure to environmental pollution, UV light, harsh chemicals or extreme temperature variations. Sunlight reaching the solar cells is a key component of efficiency. Due to the non-adhesive surface properties of the ETFE, these panels are less likely to hold pollutants which can block the sun as deposits of dirt, dust, and debris do not stick and are washed away by the rain resulting in a “self-cleaning” effect.

KnoxCouncil, in conjunction with Planet Ark National Tree Day, hosted another corporate tree planting event this year. Solar 4 RVs has participated annually since its inception.
Trees are the lungs of the planet, giving us fresh clean air, storing carbon, providing shade and habitat for wildlife. No matter how busy we are, dedicating a few hours in nature for the environment is good for our wellbeing - physically, emotionally and mentally, and ethically. There are community events every year so why not participate and feel great.
Last year close to 300,000 Australians participated in Tree Day activities at 3,626 sites helping to plant 1.2 million native trees, shrubs and grasses valued at $5.6m in volunteer labour dedicated to green outcomes.

The new offices, showroom and warehouse in Rowville are now operational.
External signage is still to be installed and the showroom displays will be refined over the coming weeks. There is still quite a bit to add such as a racking storage system but it is exciting to have more room.
We have three reserved car parking spaces at the front of our premises and a further three reserved parking spaces facing Kelletts Road in front of the Test and Tag offices.
Along with Solbian Italy we have jointly supplied 8 SolbianFlex solar panels and 8 Genasun boost solar charge controllers. She is currently fitting out her zero carbon emission yacht 'Climate Action Now'.

The new offices, showroom and warehouse in Rowville has had the external signage and warehouse racking installed this week. This has provided room for a dedicated workshop area for product testing and research and development.
As well as trialing new products, owner Phil Chapallaz designs circuit cards, develops product firmware/software enhancements and devises technical solutions for unique customer solar applications. Interesting projects at the moment 'pop-up' classrooms for Papua New Guinea, all-electric tourist boats for the Swan River in Perth, and salmon farm solar.
Winning the "Sustainability initiative of the Year" category at the '2015 Optus My Business Awards' has certainly generated publicity and affirmed our sector leadership in solar system advice and products for the Australian caravan and boating sectors.

Lisa will become the third person in history to achieve such a challenge which is made extremely difficult due to large waves, aggressive storm systems, ice and exposure to the icy waters and the cold.
She aims to complete the 16,400 nautical-mile circuit, unassisted, in 90 days and break the record of 102 days, one hour, 35 minutes and 50 seconds.
