Lisa Blair sails to furthest point from land

Date Posted:6 March 2017

Lisa Blair is now 43 days into her journey to become the first woman to circumnavigate Antarctica solo, non-stop and unassisted and as her sponsor we are following her adventures and wishing her every success.

The 32-year-old has just passed Point Nemo, a point so far from land that the International Space Station is closer!  This is one lonely point in the ocean!

The trip is pushing Lisa to the limits but during her three years of planning she had time to think about every possible scenario she might face and how to survive and combat them.

The images show the Solbian flexible solar panels we provided for her boat 'Climate Action Now'.
