DESCRIPTION
Century Marine Pro Cruiser: High-Output 1200 CCA Engine Starting Battery
Designed to meet the rigorous demands of the Australian marine environment, the Century 12V 200Ah Marine Pro Cruiser provides the exceptional cranking power required for larger vessels. Whether you are captaining a commercial fishing boat or a large recreational cruiser, reliable ignition is non-negotiable when you are kilometres offshore. This flooded lead-acid battery is engineered specifically to deliver a massive 1200 CCA, ensuring instant startup for outboard and inboard engines rated 350hp and above.
Engineered for Rough Seas with Platelock™ Technology
One of the most common causes of battery failure in marine applications is internal damage caused by wave pounding and engine vibration. To combat this, the Marine Pro Cruiser series features Century's exclusive Platelock™ technology. This advanced construction method binds the battery plates securely together, significantly improving vibration resistance and preventing the active material from shedding. Combined with Glass Mat Separators, this design ensures the battery maintains its structural integrity and electrical performance even in harsh, choppy conditions.
Specialized Starting Performance
Marine electrical systems often rely on a separation of duties between starting and auxiliary loads. The Century 12V 200Ah Marine Pro Cruiser is precision-engineered as a dedicated starting solution. By focusing the chemistry and plate design purely on delivering maximum cold cranking amps, this battery outperforms general-purpose units in ignition reliability. It effectively handles the high inrush currents required by large marine starters without the significant voltage drop often seen in undersized or multi-purpose batteries.
Heavy-Duty Components for Long Service Life
Built with durability in mind, this battery incorporates heavy-duty internal components and a mud rack design. The mud rack collects shed active material at the bottom of the case, preventing internal short circuits and extending the battery's usable life. As a maintainable flooded battery, it features accessible caps that allow for easy electrolyte level checks and top-ups, a crucial feature for maximizing longevity in hot engine compartments where fluid evaporation can occur.
Key Features
- High Cranking Output: Delivers 1200 CCA to reliably start engines 350hp+ in all weather conditions.
- Vibration Resistance: Platelock™ technology and Glass Mat Separators protect against wave impact and engine vibration.
- Extended Lifespan: Mud rack design prevents shorting, while the maintainable casing allows for fluid top-ups.
- Marine Grade Construction: Rugged casing and carry handles designed for easy installation and durability in salt-laden air.
- Application: Strictly designed for engine starting; not recommended for deep-cycling or semi-cycling applications.
Dependable Performance on the Water
Equip your vessel with a battery built to handle the extremes of the ocean. Ensure your next journey begins smoothly with the robust starting power of the Century Marine Pro Cruiser.
