DESCRIPTION
Scanstrut Flip Pro: Advanced Dual USB Fast Charging for Marine and RV Applications
Uncompromising Power for Modern Electronics
The Scanstrut Flip Pro Fast Charge USB-A & USB-C Socket with Bezel delivers the performance required to keep today's power-hungry devices fully charged while on the move. Engineered for both 12V and 24V DC systems, this marine-grade charger provides a highly efficient power delivery solution for boats, caravans, and off-grid setups. Unlike standard automotive chargers that struggle to maintain current under load, the Flip Pro is designed to output up to 60W on a 24V system and 36W on a 12V system. This makes it fully capable of fast-charging modern laptops, large tablets like the iPad Pro, and smartphones simultaneously without thermal throttling or voltage drops.
Robust Marine-Grade Durability
Operating electronic equipment in coastal, marine, or rugged outback environments carries the risk of corrosion and water ingress. The Flip Pro mitigates these risks through meticulous engineering. It features an IPX4 waterproof rating when the cover is closed, making it completely washdown-ready. The robust spring-loaded cap remains tightly sealed against the elements when not in use and locks open securely to protect your cables during charging.
Internally, the circuitry is protected by an advanced anti-corrosion coating, while the exterior housing is constructed from UV-resistant materials. Combined with a premium 316 stainless steel hinge and spring, this socket provides long-lasting reliability in salt-air and high-UV environments, significantly outlasting inferior alternatives.
Seamless Installation and Retrofitting
The inclusion of a front-fit bezel provides exceptional installation flexibility. If rear access to the mounting panel is restricted, this model allows you to easily secure the socket from the front using the supplied screws. It requires a standard 29 mm (approx. 1 1/8") mounting hole, matching the footprint of legacy 12V power receptacles and older USB chargers. This makes upgrading your current setup a straightforward process. With a minimal standby power draw of just 0.01W, you can leave the socket wired permanently to your battery bank without worrying about parasitic drain.
Key Features and Technical Benefits
- Dual Port Design: Features 1x USB-A and 1x USB-C port to support a wide range of legacy and modern devices.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Installation, Use, and Maintenance Requirements
This warranty applies only where the product has been used properly, installed correctly, and operated in accordance with Scanstrut instructions, product manuals, specifications, and any applicable standards or industry best practice.
Many Scanstrut products are intended to be mounted, connected, installed, or integrated into a broader system, vehicle, vessel, structure, electrical installation, communications system, or marine environment. Once installed, the product may form only one component of a larger system. The installer, system designer, integrator, dealer, or end-user is responsible for ensuring that the product is suitable for the intended application and is installed correctly.
Issues or damage arising from incorrect installation, poor system design, incorrect configuration, incompatible equipment, inadequate protection, unsuitable mounting, or failure to follow instructions are not product defects and are not covered by this warranty.
Installer Responsibilities and System Design
- Appropriate Installation: Products must be installed in accordance with the product manual, Scanstrut instructions, applicable Australian Standards, relevant marine, automotive, electrical, mechanical, and communications standards, manufacturer specifications, and recognised industry best practice. Improper, unsafe, unlicensed, sub-standard, or non-compliant installation may void or limit warranty coverage.
- System Compatibility: The installer or integrator is responsible for selecting and using compatible connected equipment, cables, antennas, chargers, power supplies, fasteners, mounting surfaces, sealants, controllers, electronics, and other system components. Damage or underperformance caused by incompatible, incorrectly configured, unsuitable, or improperly installed equipment is not covered by this warranty.
- Mounting and Location: The installer must ensure the product is mounted, supported, sealed, ventilated, protected, and located in a manner suitable for the installation environment. This includes allowing for vibration, moisture exposure, UV exposure, corrosion risk, drainage, mechanical loading, electrical clearance, service access, and safe operation.
- Protection and Fault Isolation: Where applicable, the installer must incorporate suitable protective devices and design measures, such as fuses, circuit breakers, isolators, surge protection, over-current protection, sealing methods, drainage, waterproofing, vibration isolation, and other protective measures required by standards or best practice. Damage caused by inadequate system protection, poor fault isolation, incorrect protection settings, or missing safety devices is not covered.
- Service Accessibility: Products must be installed in a manner that allows reasonable access for inspection, testing, servicing, removal, and replacement. Additional labour, access equipment, structural modification, removal of panels, trim, cabinetry, sealants, adhesives, or other costs caused by restricted access are not covered unless required by law or agreed in writing.
Warranty Exclusions
This warranty covers manufacturing defects or failures of the Scanstrut product arising from normal use in accordance with Scanstrut instructions. It does not cover any failure, damage, performance issue, deterioration, or loss caused wholly or partly by external factors, misuse, incorrect installation, or circumstances outside the manufacturer’s or supplier’s control.
Warranty exclusions include:
- Cosmetic Wear: Scratches, dents, marks, surface wear, fading, cosmetic deterioration, or other visible surface changes are not covered unless reported as soon as the product is received and accepted as a covered defect.

- Serial Number or Identification Removed: Where applicable, the product’s serial number, batch number, rating label, compliance label, or identification marking must remain intact, legible, and unmodified. Removal, defacement, alteration, or tampering with product identification may make the product ineligible for warranty service.
- Unauthorised Resale or Non-Authorised Purchases: This warranty applies only to genuine new Scanstrut products supplied through authorised dealers, resellers, distributors, or approved channels. Products purchased second-hand, from unauthorised marketplaces, auctions, liquidation sales, grey-market sellers, parallel imports, or unapproved channels may not be covered.
- Other Exclusions: This warranty does not cover damage, loss, or failure caused by accident, collision, fire, explosion, vandalism, theft, natural disaster, Force Majeure events, acts of God, misuse by third parties, unauthorised installation, or events beyond reasonable control.
Making a Warranty Claim
Important: If you suspect a fault with a Scanstrut product supplied by us, do not immediately remove or uninstall the product unless it is unsafe to leave it in place or unless authorised by us, Scanstrut, or an authorised dealer. Premature removal can cause further damage, prevent proper assessment, and may make it difficult or impossible to determine the original cause of the issue.
- Contact the Dealer or Reseller: Warranty claims should be initiated through the authorised dealer, reseller, distributor, or place of purchase. The customer should provide proof of purchase, product model, serial number if applicable, a description of the issue, photos or videos of the fault, installation photos, details of connected equipment, installation date if known, and service or maintenance history if relevant.
- Provide Product Information: The customer must provide the product model, invoice details, installation information, and a clear description of the issue, including when the issue started, how it appears, whether it is intermittent or constant, and any troubleshooting already performed.
- Assessment and Troubleshooting: The dealer, reseller, distributor, supplier, or Scanstrut support team may conduct an initial assessment. This may involve asking the customer or installer to perform safe checks, provide measurements, inspect connections, test the product in a different configuration, provide photos, or confirm installation details.
- Photographic Evidence: The customer may be required to provide clear photos of the product before removal. Photos may include the product in its installed location, mounting points, surrounding area, wiring, fittings, fasteners, seals, protection devices, labels, serial numbers, visible damage, corrosion, contamination, water ingress, impact marks, and overall system layout.
- Return for Testing, Repair, or Inspection: If the fault cannot be confirmed by correspondence, photos, or remote troubleshooting, the product may need to be returned for inspection, testing, repair, or replacement assessment. Return instructions will be provided by the dealer, reseller, distributor, supplier, or Scanstrut. Unless otherwise agreed, the customer is responsible for safely packaging the product and returning it to the place of purchase or nominated assessment location. Transit damage caused by poor packaging is not covered.
- Evaluation and Outcome: Once received, the product will be inspected and tested to determine whether the fault is covered by this warranty. If the fault is confirmed to be due to a manufacturing defect or covered failure, an appropriate remedy will be provided. If the product is found not to be faulty, or the issue is caused by an excluded factor, the claim may be rejected.
Remedies Under Warranty
If a defect covered by this warranty is confirmed, Scanstrut, the authorised dealer, reseller, distributor, or supplier may, at their discretion and subject to applicable law, provide one or more of the following remedies:
- repair;
- replacement;
- refund;
- credit;
- supply of replacement parts; or
- another appropriate remedy required by law.
Repair: If the defect can be resolved by repair, the product or relevant components may be repaired by Scanstrut, an authorised service provider, or another approved party.
Replacement: If the product or major component is not reasonably repairable, a replacement may be provided. The replacement may be the same model, a superseded equivalent, a product with similar specifications, a new unit, or a refurbished or factory-reconditioned unit where permitted by law.
Refund or Credit: In some cases, a refund or credit may be provided. Refunds will usually be handled by the original place of purchase. The refund amount will not exceed the original purchase price paid for the affected product unless otherwise required by law.
No Charge for Approved Claims: For approved warranty claims, the repair, replacement, refund, or approved remedy will be provided at no charge to the customer. Where a product is required to be returned for assessment and is found to have a covered defect, reasonable return freight or supply of the repaired or replacement item will be handled in accordance with the approved warranty process.
No Extension of Original Warranty: Repair or replacement under this warranty does not restart or extend the original warranty period. The warranty continues from the original purchase date.
Limit of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, liability under this warranty is limited to the repair, replacement, refund, credit, or approved remedy relating to the defective Scanstrut product supplied.
To the extent permitted by law, this warranty does not cover consequential or incidental loss, including damage to other equipment, loss of revenue, loss of profit, loss of data, loss of use, downtime, third-party labour, removal or reinstallation costs, travel costs, accommodation, freight not approved as part of the warranty process, hire equipment, access equipment, structural modification, personal injury, property damage, or other economic loss.
Nothing in this warranty excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
