Blue Sea Single 3/8"-16 Stud PowerPost Connector
Blue Sea Single 3/8"-16 Stud PowerPost Connector
High Amp Terminal - 3/8" (Approx M10) Stud - Max 48V DC - Insulated Base

DESCRIPTION
Blue Sea Systems Single PowerPost: Heavy-Duty Cable Termination Point
Professional High-Amperage Cable Management
The Blue Sea Single PowerPost provides a secure, organized solution for terminating multiple large conductors in marine, automotive, and off-grid electrical systems. Designed to alleviate the congestion often found at battery terminals, this connector allows you to relocate high-amperage cable connections to a dedicated, accessible location. By moving multiple heavy-duty lugs away from the battery, you reduce mechanical stress on battery posts and improve the overall safety and serviceability of your electrical setup.
Engineered for DC systems, this terminal is rated for a maximum of 48V DC. This makes it highly versatile for a wide range of applications, including standard 12V automotive setups, 24V marine systems, and 48V off-grid battery banks. It is an essential component for installers looking to maintain clean, professional wiring architectures in tight spaces.
Robust Marine-Grade Construction
Durability is critical in mobile electrical environments where vibration, moisture, and temperature fluctuations are common. The PowerPost features a 3/8"-16 (Approx. M10) stainless steel stud, chosen specifically for its high resistance to corrosion and superior electrical conductivity. Stainless steel ensures that the connection remains secure and free from oxidation, even in harsh saltwater or humid environments.
The unit is mounted on a base made from reinforced thermoplastic (PBT UL94 V0). This material is selected for its high strength, resistance to chemicals, and ability to withstand high temperatures without deforming. The robust base design ensures the stud remains rigid even when torqued to specifications, preventing loosening over time due to vehicle movement or vessel hull vibration.
Secure and Safe Installation
Safety in high-current DC systems is paramount. The Blue Sea PowerPost allows for the consolidation of positive or negative cables (depending on your colour coding needs) into a single, insulated point. The design accommodates multiple cable lugs, ensuring full contact area transfer for maximum current flow and minimal voltage drop.
- 3/8"-16 (Approx. M10) stainless steel stud resists corrosion and supports high torque
- Reinforced thermoplastic base provides excellent insulation and mechanical strength
- Rated for up to 48V DC, suitable for 12V, 24V, and 48V systems
- Simplifies battery connections by reducing lug stacking on battery terminals
- Ideal for marine vessels, 4WDs, caravans, and remote power systems
Application and Compatibility
This PowerPost is designed for use where heavy-duty cables need to be joined or terminated securely. It is widely used for creating distribution points for winches, windlasses, inverters, and bow thrusters. While the maximum voltage is 48V, it is perfectly suited for low-voltage integration.
*Note: Ensure all cable lugs utilized are sized correctly for a 3/8" (Approx. M10) stud to maintain a secure electrical connection. Typical de-rating factors apply based on ambient temperature and cable bundling.
