DESCRIPTION
Victron Inverter RS 48/6000 Smart Solar: High-Frequency 48V Inverter with Integrated 4kW MPPT
Advanced 48V to 230V Pure Sine Wave Inverter for Off-Grid and Backup Power Systems
The Victron Inverter RS 48/6000 Smart Solar combines a powerful 6000VA pure sine wave inverter with a built-in high-voltage MPPT solar charge controller, delivering a compact and efficient solution for demanding off-grid and hybrid energy systems. Weighing only 11 kg, this high-frequency inverter achieves up to 96.5% peak efficiency, minimising energy losses and reducing heat buildup in enclosed installations.
Designed for 48V battery banks, it provides reliable 230V AC output for essential loads in residential, marine, and mobile applications. The integrated 4kW MPPT accepts PV array voltages from 80V to 450V DC, enabling longer series strings with reduced cable losses and simplified wiring compared to low-voltage charge controllers.
Integrated High-Voltage MPPT: Maximise Solar Harvest
The onboard MPPT 450V/100A solar charger unlocks the full potential of your PV array. By operating at higher voltages, it allows thinner, more cost-effective cabling over longer distances while maintaining excellent conversion efficiency. This is particularly valuable for ground-mount arrays or installations where the solar array is located far from the inverter. The MPPT tracks the maximum power point rapidly, even under partial shading or fluctuating irradiance, ensuring optimal energy yield throughout the day.
Smart Monitoring and System Integration
Stay in control with multiple communication options. The built-in Bluetooth interface pairs with the VictronConnect app for real-time monitoring and configuration from your smartphone or tablet. For advanced system integration, the VE.Can port connects to a GX device (such as the Cerbo GX) for comprehensive remote management via the VRM portal. A VE.Direct port is also available for linking to a GlobalLink 520 for cellular monitoring in remote locations. Two programmable analog/digital input ports allow custom automation, such as generator start/stop or load shedding triggers.

Built for Reliability in Harsh Environments
Engineered to perform in extreme conditions, the Inverter RS operates reliably from -40°C to +65°C, making it suitable for unheated sheds, remote telecom sites, and mobile applications exposed to temperature swings. The IP21-rated enclosure is designed for indoor mounting in protected locations. Active fan cooling maintains safe internal temperatures during sustained high loads, while conformal-coated electronics provide additional protection against humidity and dust ingress.
Unlike conventional low-frequency inverters, the high-frequency design significantly reduces weight and standby consumption (just 20W zero-load power), which is critical for off-grid systems where every watt-hour counts. The M8 bolt battery terminals and 10mm² (6 AWG) AC screw terminals ensure secure, low-resistance connections for high-current wiring.

Direct Customers
Victron Energy provides the following warranty to any direct customer (OEM, distributor or dealer) in relation to any products that Victron Energy has directly sold to the direct customer. This warranty is not an end-user warranty between Victron Energy and an end-user, and end-users shall not have any rights or remedies under this limited warranty towards Victron Energy directly. The direct customer shall, in turn, ensure that the end-user is provided with a warranty identical to this warranty, subject to applicable local mandatory law.
End-Users
Victron Energy may also provide a warranty directly to end-users, in which case the below warranty conditions equally apply to such warranty. In that case, end-users shall claim their warranty at their place of purchase or through the original direct customer of Victron, which can be found through the support section on Victron’s website https://www.victronenergy.com/support. Hence, the direct customer shall on behalf of Victron Energy deal with any warranty claims made under any warranty that Victron Energy may provide directly to end-users. This support section on Victron’s website https://www.victronenergy.com/support will provide further guidance on the procedure for end-users to make a claim under this limited warranty.
