Analog 8-16V DC voltmeter with 3-position battery bank selector on aluminium panel

Blue Sea 8-16VDC 3-Bank Analog Voltmeter with 3-Position Switch

DESCRIPTION

Consolidated Multi-Bank Voltage Monitoring for 12V Systems

Managing multiple power sources in a marine vessel, caravan, or off-grid vehicle requires reliable instrumentation. The Blue Sea Systems 8015B provides a streamlined, professional solution for monitoring up to three separate 12V DC battery banks from a single, compact panel. By combining a precision analogue meter with an integrated selector switch, this unit eliminates the need to install three individual gauges, saving valuable dashboard and bulkhead space while simplifying your wiring harness.

Designed specifically for 12V electrical architectures, the expanded 8-16V DC scale offers much finer resolution in the critical operating zone compared to wide-range 0-32V meters. This allows you to quickly and accurately assess whether a battery bank is resting, under a heavy discharge load, or actively receiving charge from an alternator or solar regulator.

Engineered for Harsh Marine and Mobile Environments

Unlike standard plastic-housed automotive gauges that can become brittle, fade, or warp when exposed to UV rays and salt air, this Blue Sea panel is built for long-term durability. The meter and switch are pre-mounted into a heavy-duty 0.125-inch (Approx. 3.2mm) 5052 aluminium alloy faceplate. This marine-grade aluminium offers exceptional resistance to corrosion, vibration, and physical impacts, making it ideal for open cockpits, helm stations, and rugged 4WD canopies.

Another critical advantage of an analogue movement over digital displays is its minimal parasitic power draw. The meter only consumes power for the brief moment you toggle the switch to check a bank, reducing the risk of slowly draining your batteries during extended storage periods.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Three-Bank Capability: Easily toggle between three independent battery sources, such as your start, house, and thruster or winch batteries, using the heavy-duty 3-position switch.
  • Targeted 8-16V DC Scale: Provides clear, at-a-glance visibility of your 12V system health, making it easy to spot voltage drops or overcharging conditions immediately.
  • Marine-Grade Construction: Mounted in a corrosion-resistant 0.125-inch (Approx. 3.2mm) 5052 aluminium alloy panel finished to match existing Blue Sea Systems switch panels.
  • Space-Saving Footprint: Consolidates three gauges into one unit, reducing panel clutter and cutting down on complex behind-the-dash wiring runs.
  • Secure Flush Mounting: Features pre-drilled, recessed mounting points for a clean, professional installation on dashboards, bulkheads, or custom electrical cabinets.

Ideal Applications

This 3-bank voltmeter panel is highly versatile and suited to any multi-battery 12V DC installation where reliability is paramount:

  • Marine Vessels: Monitor port start, starboard start, and house banks from the main helm or navigation station.
  • Caravans and RVs: Keep track of the tow vehicle cranking battery alongside dual auxiliary cabin battery banks.
  • 4WDs and Service Vehicles: Check the status of primary starting batteries, secondary fridge batteries, and dedicated winch or work-body power supplies.

Upgrade Your Electrical Monitoring

Protect your batteries from premature failure caused by undetected deep discharges or charging faults. Integrate the Blue Sea 3-Bank Analogue Voltmeter Panel into your 12V control system today for dependable, straightforward voltage tracking across all your critical power banks.
