Blue Sea 50A ANL Fuse
Blue Sea 50A ANL Fuse
Silver-Plated Copper Terminals & Clear Window for Marine/RV DC Systems

DESCRIPTION
Reliable 50A Overcurrent Protection for Marine, 4WD, and Off-Grid DC Systems
The Blue Sea 50A ANL Fuse (SKU: BS-5122B) is engineered to provide dependable, high-capacity circuit protection for demanding electrical environments. Whether you are outfitting a marine vessel, upgrading a 4WD dual battery setup, or building an off-grid caravan power system, protecting your primary cables and high-draw appliances from short circuits and overloads is critical. This 50A fuse is designed specifically for integration with standard ANL fuse blocks, offering a robust defense against electrical faults in 12V, 24V, and 48V DC architectures.
Engineered for Harsh Environments
Unlike standard automotive fuses that can degrade rapidly when exposed to moisture, salt spray, or extreme engine bay temperatures, Blue Sea Systems builds components to withstand the rigours of marine and mobile applications. The terminal blades are constructed from high-conductivity copper and finished with durable silver plating. This silver-plated surface significantly reduces contact resistance, minimising voltage drop and heat build-up while providing exceptional resistance to corrosion in coastal and marine climates.
The main body of the fuse is constructed from a mica-reinforced material, selected for its superior structural durability and high heat tolerance. During an overcurrent event, the housing maintains its integrity, ensuring the fuse operates safely and predictably under load. Furthermore, a clear central inspection window is integrated directly into the body, allowing installers and system operators to visually confirm the status of the fuse element at a glance without needing to remove it from the block or test it with a multimeter.
Key Features and Benefits
- Silver-Plated Copper Terminals: Delivers high electrical conductivity and superior corrosion resistance for long-term reliability in marine and humid environments.
- Mica-Reinforced Body: Offers exceptional heat resistance and mechanical strength to withstand vibration and thermal cycling in vehicles and boats.
- Visual Inspection Window: Provides immediate, clear visual confirmation of a blown fuse to simplify system troubleshooting.
- Slotted Terminal Design: Features forked and slotted mounting blades for straightforward installation and replacement on compatible ANL fuse blocks without needing to fully remove the mounting nuts.
- Dedicated 50A Rating: Ideal for protecting medium-duty DC circuits, such as DC-DC chargers, small inverters, windlasses, and auxiliary distribution panels.
Why Upgrade to a Quality ANL Fuse?
In high-current DC systems, the fuse is the primary safeguard against catastrophic wire damage and potential thermal events. Inferior fuses often suffer from poor terminal plating and weak housing materials, leading to increased resistance, nuisance blowing, or failure to interrupt a fault cleanly. By utilising a purpose-built Blue Sea ANL fuse, you reduce the risk of high-resistance connections that rob your appliances of power and generate dangerous heat at the fuse block.
Please note that this product includes the 50A ANL fuse only; a compatible ANL fuse holder or block is required for installation and is sold separately. Always ensure your cable sizing matches or exceeds the 50A protection rating of this fuse.
Secure Your Electrical System
Ensure your auxiliary power setup is protected by industry-trusted hardware. Add the Blue Sea 50A ANL Fuse to your system configuration today for reliable, corrosion-resistant circuit protection on the road or on the water.
