Single-pole 25A C-Series circuit breaker with white toggle switch and black housing

Blue Sea 25A C-Series Single-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker

DESCRIPTION

Heavy-Duty Magnetic Hydraulic Circuit Protection and Switching

The Blue Sea C-Series 25A Single-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker is an industrial-grade electrical component designed to provide both dependable overcurrent protection and manual circuit switching in a single, compact unit. Engineered specifically for demanding marine, RV, caravan, and off-grid power systems, this circuit breaker eliminates the need for separate switches and fuse holders, streamlining your electrical panel layout while enhancing overall system safety.

In high-demand electrical environments, standard thermal breakers can suffer from nuisance tripping when ambient temperatures rise in enclosed engine bays or battery compartments. The C-Series utilises an advanced magnetic hydraulic mechanism that relies on current flow rather than heat to actuate the trip. This ensures consistent, precise 25A overcurrent protection regardless of ambient temperature fluctuations, reducing the risk of unexpected power loss to critical equipment.

Engineered for Safety: The Trip-Free Mechanism

Safety is paramount when managing high-amperage DC or AC electrical circuits. This Blue Sea breaker features a vital trip-free design, meaning the internal contacts cannot be manually held closed while a fault or overcurrent condition exists. Even if the white toggle actuator is physically held in the ON position during a short circuit or overload, the internal mechanism will still trip and isolate the circuit. This critical feature significantly reduces the risk of wire insulation melting, equipment damage, or electrical fires.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Dual-Function Design: Combines manual ON/OFF circuit switching and precise 25A overcurrent protection into one integrated device.
  • Magnetic Hydraulic Operation: Delivers reliable, temperature-independent trip performance without derating in hot enclosures.
  • Trip-Free Safety Mechanism: Internal contacts disengage during an overload even if the toggle switch is manually held in the closed position.
  • Robust Panel Mounting: Equipped with upper and lower threaded brass inserts for secure, vibration-resistant two-point panel installation.
  • Reliable Termination: Features heavy-duty rear screw terminals designed to maintain tight, low-resistance electrical cable connections in mobile environments.
  • Clear Visual Indication: The ergonomic white toggle actuator provides immediate visual confirmation of circuit status and effortless manual operation.

Built for Harsh Marine and Mobile Environments

Inferior circuit protection components often fail due to vibration, moisture ingress, or terminal corrosion. The Blue Sea C-Series is constructed with a durable black housing and corrosion-resistant internal components suited for the rigours of marine vessels, 4WD canopy setups, and off-grid solar installations. The rear screw terminals allow for secure attachment of ring or fork terminals, ensuring your wiring remains firmly connected even when travelling over corrugated outback roads or choppy waters.

Ideal Applications

Whether you are building a custom switchboard for a boat, upgrading a caravan power distribution panel, or protecting high-draw appliances in a commercial vehicle, this 25A single-pole breaker offers professional-grade reliability. It is commonly used to protect and control windlasses, heavy-duty pumps, inverters, lighting sub-panels, and critical navigation electronics.

Upgrade Your Electrical System Protection

Ensure your mobile or marine electrical setup is safeguarded against overloads and short circuits. Add the Blue Sea C-Series 25A Single-Pole Toggle Circuit Breaker to your custom panel build today for dependable, temperature-stable circuit control.
