Blue Sea 240VAC 50A ELCI Main Panel Enclosure for Isolation Transformer

DESCRIPTION

Heavy-Duty 240V AC 50A ELCI Main Enclosure for Marine Isolation Transformers

Ensuring shore power safety on board commercial and recreational vessels requires robust, compliant circuit protection. This pre-configured ELCI (Equipment Leakage Circuit Interrupter) main panel enclosure is engineered specifically for marine electrical systems utilising an isolation transformer. Designed to meet strict ABYC E-11 standards when mounted within 10 feet (approx. 3m) of the shore power inlet, this unit provides comprehensive overcurrent protection alongside critical 30mA ground fault leakage detection.

In harsh marine environments, standard electrical enclosures often succumb to moisture ingress, UV degradation, and salt corrosion, putting both vessel electronics and crew safety at risk. This specialised marine shore power breaker box eliminates those vulnerabilities with a rugged, glass-filled polycarbonate base and an IP66 ingress protection rating, safeguarding internal components against powerful water jets and heavy seas.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Integrated 240V AC 50A ELCI Protection: Combines main circuit overload protection with ground fault sensing to immediately trip the shore power supply if dangerous current leakage is detected.
  • IP66 Weatherproof Construction: Features an overlapping cover design and an oversized, formed-in-place seamless PUR gasket to maintain a watertight seal in exposed mounting locations.
  • Customisable Breaker Positions: Includes blank apertures that accommodate Carling Technologies A-Series and C-Series Flat Rocker breakers, allowing for tailored expansion of your AC distribution system.
  • Unobstructed Installation & Monitoring: Equipped with a clear polycarbonate cover for instant visual verification of breaker status and green 240V AC indicator LEDs, plus a removable stainless steel hinge pin for effortless wiring access.
  • Marine-Grade Hardware: Supplied complete with a non-penetrating stainless steel latch, Ø 1/4" (6mm) stainless steel mounting hardware, and waterproof cable glands for a secure, corrosion-resistant fitment.

Engineered for Harsh Marine Environments

Every detail of this ELCI main circuit breaker enclosure is built to reduce installation time and mitigate electrical hazards on the water. The non-toxic, halogen-free housing resists extreme temperatures and mechanical impact, while the external stainless steel latch secures the cover firmly without compromising the internal waterproof cavity. Integrated LED indicators provide clear diagnostics at a glance, and the manual push-to-test button behind the hinged door allows for straightforward monthly functional verification.

Whether you are fitting out a new build or upgrading an existing vessel's 240V AC shore power inlet system to meet modern marine survey standards, this enclosure delivers the durability and configurability required by marine electricians.

Upgrade Your Vessel's Shore Power Safety

Protect your onboard electrical system and ensure compliance with marine safety regulations. Add this IP66 240V 50A ELCI Main Enclosure to your setup today for dependable isolation transformer protection.
