DESCRIPTION
Heavy-Duty 230V AC Electrical Distribution for Marine and Off-Grid Systems
Managing large-scale alternating current loads in mobile, marine, or remote off-grid environments requires uncompromising safety and organisation. The Blue Sea Systems 24-position 230V AC distribution panel is engineered to serve as the central nerve centre for complex 230V AC electrical systems. Capable of handling a maximum panel amperage of 100A, this unit consolidates circuit protection and load switching into a single, streamlined interface. Whether you are outfitting a commercial vessel, upgrading a luxury yacht, or building a comprehensive off-grid cabin or motorhome electrical architecture, this panel delivers the structural integrity and electrical reliability needed for demanding applications.
Pre-Wired Convenience and Expandable Capacity
Complex AC wiring installations can be time-consuming and prone to connection errors if built from scratch. To simplify integration and reduce installation time, this distribution panel arrives with all active (hot), neutral, and safety earth (ground) buses factory-installed and fully pre-wired. The 24-position layout comes populated with 15 single-pole 8A A-Series white toggle magnetic-hydraulic circuit breakers. This leaves nine open positions ready for future system expansion, allowing you to seamlessly add custom amperage breakers as your power requirements grow without needing to replace the entire switchboard.
Enhanced Safety and Low-Light Visibility
Operating 230V AC power in mobile or marine environments carries inherent risks, particularly when connecting to shore power or external generators. To mitigate the risk of equipment damage and electrical hazards, the panel incorporates a dedicated red reverse polarity indicating LED. This provides an immediate visual warning if the incoming AC supply is wired incorrectly. Furthermore, navigating your electrical system in dark cabins or dimly lit engine rooms is made effortless with integrated backlighting across all circuit label positions right out of the box, requiring no additional backlighting kits. Every circuit position is also equipped with a green LED indicator, offering instant visual confirmation of active loads.
- 100A Maximum Capacity: Robust internal busbars support high-demand 230V AC systems up to 100A total load.
- Ready for Installation: Fully pre-wired with active, neutral, and safety earth buses to minimise setup time and wiring complexity.
- Built-In Expansion: Supplied with 15 x 8A magnetic-hydraulic toggle circuit breakers installed, leaving 9 spare positions for customisation.
- Reverse Polarity Protection: Dedicated red warning LED alerts operators to dangerous shore power or generator wiring faults.
- Complete Illumination: Backlit circuit labels and individual green status LEDs across all 24 positions ensure clear visibility in low-light conditions.
- Customisable Identification: Includes a basic AC panel label set (30 labels) for clear, organised load management.
Engineered for Harsh Environments
Inferior distribution boards often suffer from corrosion, nuisance tripping in high ambient temperatures, and poor connection integrity when subjected to constant vibration. By utilising precision magnetic-hydraulic circuit breakers, this Blue Sea Systems panel ensures consistent trip curves that are unaffected by ambient temperature fluctuations. The heavy-duty construction resists corrosion and mechanical wear, significantly reducing the risk of electrical failure when you are far from shore or off the beaten track.
Upgrade Your AC Power Management
Ensure your high-voltage electrical system is protected, organised, and ready for future expansion. Integrate the Blue Sea Systems 24-Position 230V AC distribution panel into your marine or off-grid build today for professional-grade circuit control.
