Featuring a Single Pole Single Throw (SPST) configuration with a spring-return OFF-(ON) action, this switch remains active only while actively pressed. This specific switching logic makes it the ideal interface for temporary-activation accessories such as marine horns, windlasses, windshield washers, starter solenoids, and manual bilge pump overrides.

Standard switches often fail prematurely when exposed to the constant pounding of waves, corrugated off-road tracks, or extreme temperature fluctuations. The Blue Sea Systems Contura II series addresses these vulnerabilities through heavy-duty internal mechanics and an integrated environmental sealing gasket. Whether installed on an exposed boat flybridge, an open-cab agricultural vehicle, or a custom 4WD canopy setup, this rocker switch reduces the risk of electrical shorts, corrosion-induced voltage drop, and mechanical failure.

Engineered for Durability and Tactile Precision

Designed specifically for seamless integration, this unit snaps directly into Blue Sea Systems Contura Water Resistant Panels and Contura Switch Mounting Panels. The exterior features a hard-wearing black Contura II actuator equipped with a non-slip, dimpled tactile surface. This allows operators to easily identify and actuate the switch by feel alone in low-light conditions, rough seas, or while wearing gloves.

Momentary OFF-(ON) Action: Spring-return mechanism ensures circuits are only energised while the actuator is held down, preventing accidental continuous operation of high-draw momentary loads.

Environmental Sealing: An integrated gasket and high-impact housing protect internal contacts against moisture ingress, salt spray, and dust.

Extreme Stress Resistance: Specifically tested to withstand continuous high-frequency vibration, physical shock, and rapid thermoshock without mechanical degradation.

Tactile Contura II Actuator: Black rocker surface features raised dimples for positive grip and confident operation in wet conditions.

Streamlined Installation: Equipped with rear quick-connect male tab terminals for secure electrical wiring and direct snap-in mounting for compatible Blue Sea Contura panels.

Applications and System Integration

Upgrading to marine-grade switching components is essential for maintaining the integrity of low-voltage DC distribution systems. By preventing moisture and salt from reaching the conductive terminals, the BS-7930B mitigates the risk of parasitic draws and intermittent circuit faults. It serves as either a direct replacement switch for existing Blue Sea Systems panels or as a foundational component for custom-built dashboards in boats, caravans, and commercial service vehicles.

Upgrade Your Control Panel

Ensure dependable momentary switching in your marine or off-grid electrical system by integrating the Blue Sea Contura 2 SPST OFF-(ON) Switch into your next panel build or maintenance upgrade.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0602/3918/3933/files/blue-sea-contura-2-spst-off-on-switch-bs-7930b.png?v=1792905502
