Solar 4 RVs™ joined other like-minded businesses at Marie Wallace Bayswater Park for the annual National Tree Day Corporate Planting event hosted by Knox City Council. This year Planet Ark is celebrating 20 years of National Tree Day, which is Australia's largest community tree planting and nature-care event that connects thousands of individuals, businesses, community groups, schools and sporting groups with nature. Since 1996 more than 3 million people have planted 21 million trees and plants thereby beautifying neighbourhoods and inspiring positive environmental change.
After the event we had the pleasure to meet the team from ‘Melbourne Tree Care’. Check out our Facebook post on Monday to read about the pioneering work they are doing to save our endangered species.

The US renewable energy company is the first and only company in the world to win a Cradle-to-Cradle (C2C) silver certificate for its solar panels – one of the strictest sustainability standards in existence. Solar 4 RVs own brand of flexible solar panels and the Solbian SP series both contain SunPower® cells.
SunPower’s largest solar panel assembly site in Mexico, is its first to achieve zero waste to landfill. It lowered its waste disposal costs by over 50% in the first year, cut water consumption by over 50% and 44% of its energy comes from renewable sources.

We proudly support the Australian Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA) Project to improve the living conditions for the poorest and most isolated people living in Vanuatu by providing solar power for their households through installing stand-alone solar systems. We have donated a new Battery Power Pack with inverter.
If you wish to donate any second hand items such as solar panels, regulators or chargers we will test them and pass them onto the SEIA central collection point.
Since a private monopoly generates power in Vanuatu "electricity costs are among the highest in the Pacific" among developing countries so any donations will have a significant impact. Call us on 0488 918 910 if you can help. SEIA is also accepting cash donations. Thank you.

Adelaide University Solar Racing Team is using Solar 4 RVs™ flexible panels on their entry into the 2015 World Solar Challenge which runs from 18 - 25 October. All 46 teams from 25 countries will make the 3,000km journey from Darwin to Adelaide powered solely by the sun. The event is held every two years.
We flew 5 x 135W, 1 x 110W and 2 x 100W panels to Darwin after the team discovered they were having trouble obtaining the required voltage from their array. The team had used a unique encapsulation method of SunPower's world class cells and unfortunately moisture had found its way into their array causing it to short circuit in the lead up to the race which starts on Sunday. We appreciate that this dedicated and skilled team have chosen us to assist them for this event.
