​​​SunPower E20® series cells were developed in the US and capture significantly more sunlight and conduct more electrical current than other solar cells.  Solar panels containing SunPower E20® series cells are the highest efficiency panel available on the market today, providing more power in the same amount of space. Efficiency refers to the percentage of sunlight hitting the panel that gets converted into electricity therefore a higher panel efficiency means that the panel can generate more power.

These cells are then used by our manufacturer in China where these panels are made.

We recommend FixTech FixSeal MSP15 Adhesive Sealant

​​FixSeal MSP15 is a chemically neutral and fully elastic tough flexible adhesive sealant.  It is recommended for use in low movement structural joints in marine, automotive, aerospace, and construction applications.

It is independently tested and rated for +15 yrs UV exposure, and is resistant to many chemicals, fresh and salt water.  Shows excellent resistance to UV rays, climate changes and environmental agents.

We recommend this adhesive sealant to fix your panels to the surface of your RV.

290ml cartridges of non-yellowing white or colourfast black are available.

Maintenance:  The only maintenance required is cleaning with water when the panels get dusty and dirty. At this time you can inspect for damage, for example from tree branches.

Installation:  The panels are installed using Fix15 (MS Polymer) or Fix8 (Silicone) adhesive sealant or SikaFlex (polyurethane) adhesive. Not suitable for glueing onto polycarbonate or polyethylene foam surfaces.

Manufacturer's Warranty:  The manufacturer provides a 1 year workmanship warranty. 

Power output for E20® cells is guaranteed by SunPower to be at least 90% of the rated output at Standard Test Conditions (STC) for ten years.

Zips can be easily sewn into panels by your own canvas machinist or sailmaker.  We can provide a piece of panel to practice on.

None. The no junction box option (special order) requires the end user to solder wires onto tinned copper tabs that come out underneath one end of the panel.  Then the wires can then be taken through the roof underneath the panel.

 Cable length (if buying with a junction box):
The standard cable length is 2 metres coming out of the junction box.  Additional cable can be ordered.

  Eyelets:
Eyelets are available on request (one at each corner, or more depending on the size of the panel) 

 Standard panel sizes are 4 cells wide.  Orders can be made for panels 1, 2 or 3 cells wide.  We have limited stock of 2 and 3 cell wide panels.

Benefits of semi-flexible Monocrystalline PV Panels:

  • They are able to convert the highest amount of solar energy into electricity of any type of flat solar panel making them the most efficient and most dependable way to produce electricity from the sun;
  • They produce more electricity per square metre of other panels and consequently are the best choice for settings where space is limited;
  • They are thin: At only 3.0mm thick they are the perfect option for caravans particularly pop-tops that need to fit into a garage;
  • They are lightweight: (e.g. 2.4 kg for a 135 W panel);
  • Being semi-flexible (up to 30 degrees) they can conform to the roof of your caravan, motorhome;
  • They are easily installed: They are attached to the roof of your van using adhesive sealant such as non-yellowing marine grade Fix15 or SikaFlex;
  • They do not have the toxic heavy metal Cadmium (Cd) and are not hazardous to the environment.
