Delivery Costs

​​Delivery costs are calculated by using the various online calculators of Australia Post and courier companies.  Generally speaking costs are based on the following:

  • the delivery address provided by the customer (calculations take into consideration if delivery is to a business or residential address, remoteness of location, distance from pick-up site etc);
  • the weight and dimensions of the package;
  • if loss or damage cover is required;
  • and other fees and and charges such as fuel levy.

​​Delivery Terms

Couriers do not deliver to Post Office Boxes so a residential or business address needs to be provided.  Goods are only delivered during business hours.

We will make every effort to establish what the expected delivery date is and advise the customer.  If nobody is available to sign for your delivery, the parcel may be left in a safe location at the address or a card may be left with details on where you can pick up your delivery.  Some courier companies charge Solar 4 RVs a re-delivery fee if no-one was in attendance at the delivery address to accept the parcel.  If this occurs Solar 4 RVs reserves the right to pass on this cost to the customer.

Delivery Time-frames

Please allow 24 - 48 hours after your payment for your order to be dispatched. Some items, such as cables with connectors are assembled to order and may take time for construction.

Delivery times after dispatch varies depending on the location of the delivery address and whether the item is dispatched by air or road.  Major cities in the Eastern states generally take 1 to 2 days, Perth 2-5 days and Darwin 4-6 days.  Expect to add 1-2 days longer in regional areas and more than a week longer for remote areas. 

If you need your order to arrive by a certain date, please contact us prior to ordering so we can ensure that we can quote appropriate delivery options for you so that you will get your items in time.

Delivery Tracking

Tracking/consignment numbers and delivery details are provided to customers once items are dispatched from our store or workshop.  Customers can enter these tracking/consignment numbers on the website links we provide so they can track the status of their delivery.

If your tracking number doesn't work, or your order doesn't seem to be progressing, please contact us so we can follow up with Australia Post or the courier company and let you know the outcome.

Lost or Damaged Packages

Insurance can be arranged covering your items from damage or loss during transport.  Please advise us prior to completing your order so we can quote the costs to you before finalising delivery estimates.

If your parcel has been damaged, please record this with the driver before he leaves and report this to us within 24 hours of receiving the parcel.  Take photos of the damaged box or satchel prior to opening it and email it to us so we can follow
up with the courier company.

If the package was intact and undamaged, and you have opened your items and they are faulty or incorrect, or you have changed your mind,  then please refer to our Refund and Exchange Policy.  If the item were working at the time of delivery but subsequently become faulty then please refer to our Warranty Policy.

We compare Australia Post Parcel Post, Express Post satchels and various courier companies prior to quoting and arranging delivery to ensure we obtain the best price to your location.
